ABC's Lost Gets its Own iPhone

Lost_phone_2

Iphone_3Anybody else notice that "communicator" on Lost last night with an interface that looked remarkably similar to the iPhone, including the "missing" button?

Forget the Dharma Initiative.

Steve Jobs must be using an Apple tractor beam to magnetically attract planes to the island where the passengers are then made to serve as beta tester's for the corporation's forthcoming world domination.

One more shot after the jump...

  1. Hold on tight, boys. The wireless marketplace is soon to get (even more) crowded; shortly after Apple releases its iPhone, Google will follow with its own handset. I've played with the (Google) beta device and it's quite impressive.

  2. You'd have a hard time jamming that LOST phone in your jeans pocket.

  3. Well, it is a satellite phone. Just be glad it isn't the size of a suitcase.

  4. This is really funny, but iphone looks much better. Don't you think they should have better design for a hit show like lost?

  5. This device showed up two weeks ago... where have you been, Andy?

And this would be a precursor to the iPhone, as the timeframe of Lost is now early 2005.

  6. Like I said...satellite phone. NOT the same as a cell phone, not the "precursor" to the iphone. That said, the phone in the show is quite small, especially for '05. They're made to be used where there are no cell phone towers, so as you can imagine durability is emphasized over asthetic.
