  2. Hmmm, a blond villain named Ms. Coulter

  3. I can't tell which one I'm going to like more, that one...or StarDust...luckily StarDust is coming out next week, so that I'll not have to choose!

  4. Ha ha, Gregg - I hear you on that observation. However, the His Dark Materials series predates the Ann Coulter we all know and love to hate.

  5. This looks amazing.

I am a huge fan of "His dark materials", and i'm hoping New Line hasn't screwed up this adaption. Nicole Kidman is exactly who I pictured as Mrs Coulter. Pitch perfect!

  6. It's just a pity that they (New Line) had to tone down the religious aspects of "His Dark Materials" so not to offend the Christian right in America, but I'm really hoping that the soul of this book hasn't been lost in the translation to celluloid...

  7. Unlike the obtuse, xenophobic, misogynistic, dull and dry Chronicles of Narnia, the Golden Compass is going to kick your behinds with a story well told, imagination and a girl who redefines girl power and applies quantum physics. And Daniel Craig is in the movie? THAT's hot

  8. More importantly...Gerard Way was at Comic-Con.
