John Barrowman's Fantasies Come Out

"I have a fetish for leather that I've never lived out. I would like to be blindfolded and guided in a room, with everyone else in chaps, in harnesses and slings, and just — I'm a control freak. So I'd be taken out of my control zone. If anybody out there would like to arrange it, give me a ring...But sometimes fantasies should remain fantasies. [My partner Scott Gill and I] are kind of conservative in that way."
— John Barrowman, whose UK sci-fi series Torchwood is due to make its U.S. debut, in the forthcoming issue of OUT.

Hmmm. If one were to believe the constant rumors about Barrowman when he was a Broadway star, he's lived out a few fantasies like this already -- notice he just said he hasn't done it with leather.
But then again, rumors like that are nearly always exaggerated. But good for him for being honest and provocative. I like him.

I wasn't into leather before but I'm willing to make a sacrifice for John Barrowman.
I'll make the arrangements and ring you up ASAP!

LOL
So he is a closeted leather sub.
Too bad for him that real tops/ doms don't wear leather chaps. Only bottoms do. LOL the whole leather get up thing is just make believe that bottoms play. real top doms tend to dress like everybody else and don't need costumes to convey authority and strength.
Anyway Torchwood season 1 is coming to BBC america. Great show (I cheated and downloaded them all via the net a while ago)

My brain just seizes-up while wrapped around that mental image... And his husband's a real-cutie too. Maybe matched sets of blindfolds, collars and leashes for both of them??

Sweet Jesus. He's got that John Edwards thing going on. Sex on a stick. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

I remember CPW, I thought it was pretty good. Didn't care much for Barrowman but Justin Lizzard was hot! Whatever happened to him?

Saw Barrowman on the London stage--more gorgeous in person.
And John Edwards can be my President ANY day! WOOF!

The line to John Barrowman's sling forms to the right!
No pushing.

Remember the blind item about his excursion to the local bathhouse when he was in DC doing Company. It said that when the number of guys he was taking on starting going into double digits, some of the guests were getting turned off. Doesn't sound like leather would be much of challenge.

Bloody hell... This would be the first time in existence that it would be worth picking up a copy of Out.

I can't wait for Torchwood, but his sexual appeal alludes me. He has that generic Ken Doll look.
Posted by: michael | Sep 4, 2007 7:26:50 PM
Yeah, whatever Countervail--were you there? Do you have photos. I think maybe you've got some fantasies going on there yourself.
Posted by: db | Sep 4, 2007 7:31:31 PM
Michael
you will love it.
Definetly darker then dr Who and lots of sex. Lots of pansexuality going on.

That is a really, really unflattering foto of a really good looking guy, like a Photoshop mash-up of Tom Cruise and John Edwards.

Anon @ 3:46? WTF?
Tops wear chaps all the time--chaps, codpieces, vests, gauntlets, whatever. We like the feel of leather on ourselves and other guys.
You don't know what the f*ck you're talking about.

Leathertop
BS
You probably own a poodle and work in a flower shop besides being a "top unless a worhty man comes along"
leather is drag without the heels.
This s/m submissive has met your kind before and probably topped you.
If a man wears leather then you can bet he bottoms
Posted by: anon | Sep 4, 2007 9:10:31 PM
PS
Real tops don't wear leather because they don't need to boost themselves with illusion.
20+ years in the s/m dom/sub community and never met a real top who wore leather.

You're so cute ANON. I love it when leather-nerds like you start lecturing others that you know all the rules to *every* leatehr community in existence. You sound like an autistic trekkie.

These days hardly anyone still wears leather in any kind of social situation like bars. There's like 1/2 of a leather bar in all of NYC now. He better hurry! I'm not really up on this stuff--has it all gone underground with the Internet or simply disappeared??
As to the photo, I am once again repulsed by what Photoshop can do to a person's appearance. He's much better looking than that. The hair doesn't help either.

Thanks ray
Now go feed your poodle and go to sleep because you have an early day at the flower shop.
:-)

This is the worse photo of him ever. Perhaps the line at the top right "Vampires in L.A." was suppose to relate to the photograph?
Posted by: Patrick | Sep 4, 2007 11:22:28 PM
Oh no
Going by everyone's comments, it would suggest that John is a bottom!
Noooo. Well there goes my fantasies..
Posted by: stephen | Sep 5, 2007 12:20:03 AM
Yes, stephen.
He obviously is a bottom. Sadly for him, so to would be all the guys in chaps he wants for his fantasy. Wear chaps= your a bottom.
My question is why marry someone who can not fulfill your deepest fantasies?
He should have searched for a mate who could fulfill his fantasies and whose fantasies he himself could fulfill.
Posted by: anon | Sep 5, 2007 7:46:55 AM
Sometimes it's nice to keep fantasies as fantasies.
I like to think of marriage of more than some sort of fetishistic symbiosis ... a lot more.
On the subject of Torchwood ... the quality of the show goes downhill very quickly. The producers seem to have too much on their hands trying to create quality story lines for both Torchwood and Doctor Who. Since it's just been announced that Doctor Who is going to have a rest year in 2009 (apart from 3 specials), I hope that means that the writers are going to actually plot out something more satisfying.
