  1. Tancredo is despicable. Will they allow all that blood and gore on regular TV or just Cable? No, it's not a stupid question. I'm older than the rest of you, and I refuse to pay for Cable.

  2. Yes, the host Matt Rogers is cheezy but he's also kinda hot.

I'm just glad they don't dress him in those damn newsboy caps like they did on American Idol.

  3. Gosh thanks, Ellen for making the President look so cute and lovable. Never mind that he stomped on our backs on his climb to the top.

  4. SAM...I totally agree with your assessment of Ellen making Bush look all cute and lovable (and I might add, 'folksy') despite the fact that he walked all over our backs. Disgusting and way, way, waaaayyyy disappointing.

  5. Sitting down for a friendly chat with Jenna Bush is like doing the same with one of the Gotti children. Her dad is a gangster, plain and simple.

  6. Why would we expect anything less from Ellen; after all the only reason she was able to have this show at all was by crossing a picket line!

    Posted by: Scott | Dec 6, 2007 5:43:27 PM

  7. Ellen Degeneres has gotten really disgusting. First she crosses the writer's strike picket line. Now she makes nice with the idiot in the White House. Andy why, simply to get ratings for having his daughter on her show.

As a homosexual I can say with certainty that Ellen does not represent the gay communty in any way. She has turned into Hollywood trash!

  8. Look Ellen! A helpless $20,000 puppy is going to be put down! Better snap into action and make a stand on what REALLY matters!

  9. While I dislike Tancredo and I am deeply suspicious of his motives, I do not understand how he is wrong to demand a stop to illegal tresspassing of our sovereign borders. All the hysterical liberals on the left are calling anti-illegal immigration proponents "racist" in the most dishonest manner.

This is a nation of laws. We expect everyone to obey the law. It is one thing to dislike a law and to work hard to convince congress to change it, it is another thing to openly advocate turning a blind eye to those who violate the law.

Calling an illegal tresspasser an "undocumented worker" is like calling your drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist!"

In addition to it being thoroughly unfair to the millions of law abiding applicants (including mexicans!) who wait in line for years and spend thousands of dollars in fees to obtain an immigration staus legally, this stance ignores the national security implications associated with a porous border.

There is nothing racist about enforcing existing laws. After all, there are many Bangladeshis who would LOVE to come here ands take employment, they are often even poorer than mexicans, yet they happen to live in a country that does not share a land border with the u.s. Should those who scream "racism" propose we allow those from bangladesh (or other poor countries) arrive at the airports unchecked?? A border is a border....right?

  10. I was left speechless by this. Is Ellen on some subconscious, pathological path to intentionally destroy all her credibility with her community?

Her segment with TR Knight was right on, but she’s also had “comic” DL Hughley on and treated him as if he were not the homophobe that he is. More recently it was Anderson Coward, oops, Cooper, and playing along with his “I don’t talk about THAT part of my ‘private life’” game. Then, yes, there was the appalling, hysterical puppy saga—not gay-related per se but ongoing gay inequality is but ONE of the issues she SHOULD be publicly crying about. Another 100 died today in Iraq? Another 500 children orphaned by AIDS today? Another 8000 were dying of AIDS while she was doing her funny dance? Sure, but do you like her new Millionaire Dyke sneakers?

And now she “normalizes” and humanizes George Bush fils—one of the greatest enemies the gay community has ever had, not to mention an unindicted war criminal. “See, Fred: our favorite lesbian and the President had a nice chat. He must not be as antigay as all those radicals say.” What next, a live satellite hookup with Osama Bin Laden to ask what he’s doing for Muharram?

If it was okay for her to effectively flame Isaiah Washington in absentia for using the F word [and it certainly was] then surely something remotely similar is appropriate for the man who would rip us out of the US Constitution! Or don’t book any of the Bush Mob at all.

And if anyone thinks, as I’ve seen too many in other places comment, that this is “hating on” poor Jenna who was just trying to promote her moving book about AIDS, consider:

    1. Said book is one of the safe, noncontroversial ones. Her subject, a straight woman, was infected as a child. So she’s one of the classic, so-called “innocent victims of AIDS”—not one of us dirty fags who, according to so many of those who elected her father, whose homohatred he exploited to get reelected, are merely reaping what we sow. The topic of mother-to-child transmission IS very important. It’s estimated that a third of the pregnant women in South Africa are HIV positive and too few of them have access to the medicines/information that would prevent them from infecting their fetuses or newborns.

    2. Still, as more than one person has suggested in other venues: instead of writing books about AIDS “innocents” she should be talking to her father about the obscene requirements of his HIV/AIDS funding programs that require the teaching of abstinence and discouragement of the use of condoms. Remember, Brazil turned down $40 million, repeat, MILLION in assistance because of that requirement. Some AIDS experts blame Bush for the deaths of MORE people than Reagan because they were denied access to condoms.

Ellen, as she’s protested before, has a right NOT to have to carry the Gay Banner for us. But in positions of great public influence the same morality applies as that to doctors: first do no harm.

Or put more gently: fuck you, Ellen, and not in the good way!

  11. I'm with you Reasonbased. If you are illegal go home. If you are here legally then welcome to America and I hope you get filthy rich.

  12. You're the voice of reason, Reasonbased.

What part of "illegal" don't radical leftists understand?

  13. Ellen for president. And Jodi for vice president!

    Posted by: Ken P. | Dec 7, 2007 1:17:18 AM

  14. Ellen for president?! KEN P, have you lost your fucking mind? She basically gave good press to one of the gay community's biggest and worst enemy. How about Ellen for Scab and Traitor of the Year?

    Posted by: peterparker | Dec 7, 2007 2:20:14 AM

  15. So let me get this straight; this bitch cried crocodile tears for a damn dog, but she giggles with a murderer/warmonger? Fuck you, Ellen!

  16. Ok so Rhydian has pecs. He sang Pet Shop Boys "Go West", Dame Shirley Bassey's "I'm Coming Out", and Queen's "Somebody To Love". I hate that this sounds like a stoopid question, but does anyone know if Rhydian is gay???

  17. Thank you, thank you, thank you, ReasonBased!!!

There is absolutely nothing racist about bringing attention to extraordinarily violent gang members who are in this country illegally.

I'm not voting for Tancredo, but this issue has to be brought to Americans' attention. Illegal immigration isn't just a problem for California and Texas anymore, it's everywhere and they are a huge drain on our economy, education and healthcare systems.

There's nothing racist about enforcing the existing laws.

Posted by: Another Matt | Dec 7, 2007 10:48:55 AM

  18. trancredo and most neocons are missing the real point.

If we were tough on EMPLOYERS who hire undocumented individuals at cut rates with no medical coverage the problem would be largely eliminated.

I believe it is true that most Americans don't want to do the jobs that are taken by legal or illegal immigrants. Fine, there are jobs that need to be done, find a way to do it legally and fairly compensate the workers who do these jobs!

trancredo IS a racist as can be seen by his hissy fit about the Univision debates:

trancredo is also- clearly - a FEAR MONGER in the tradition of bush, rove, rummy, cheney, and rice. Are there Central American gangs running through the streets? Not in my neighborhood. I've got good ol' home grown North American United State's citizen gangs right here on my block. Am I terrified every time I walk out the door? No.
