Those crazy San Franciscans! When I lived in S.F., there was a long weekend in which city workers were nowhere to be found because they had the weekend off. Some prankster took advantage of that opportunity and decorated two bus stops in the Castro with thrift shop sofas and chairs, pots of flowers, mirrors, a fake picket fence, etc…and painted ‘Habitat for HOMOnity’ on the back of each bus stop. It stayed there all weekend in a sort of surreal gift to the homeless who slept on the sofas. High art it was!

See? This is why I love this site. I’ve seen this every day this week on my way to work and I had NO idea what it was in reference to. Thanks Towleroad for teaching me something new today! :)

It’s amazing how similar Rimbaud looks to Baudoui.

(“Baudoui” – “Baud oui” – “Bo wie – “Bowie”, get it? As in David Bowie? >Sigh!< It’s just not funny if you have to explain it. Suddenly I feel almost as old as Dennis Miller… and just as culturally relevant.)

…but it did remind me of Bowie.

Dennis Miller isn’t culturally irrelevant because he’s old. He’s culturally irrelevant because he’s idiotic enough to be a supporter of George W. Bush.
