In my opinion these parodies fall flat, because there is just no way to top the original clip. Tom is nucking futz! How can you possibly top THAT?

Yes, Fern, Jerry does do a good Tom (much better than Craig Ferguson's splutter). And I think he actually takes a risk here since Cruise is so powerful in Hollywood and takes himself soooo seriously.
