Paula Abdul: Simon Cowell Not Gay, Just Comfortable

Paula Abdul is apparently disgusted that people continue to scrutinize Simon Cowell's sexuality.

Abdul_cowellSays Abdul: "People say that all the time but no, he's not! His brother always jokes and says that he's gay but Simon has fun with it now. He's very comfortable in his skin."

Last November, in an interview with Britain's Daily Mail, Cowell said: "If I was, why hide it? It's not as if the music business would be an odd place for a gay man to work. And anyway, if I was trying to hide the fact that I was gay, I would be off playing rugby every Saturday, wouldn't I?"

I never thought he was gay.

  1. Gay? No. A complete bitch? Absolutely

  2. Simon's response to the question was spot on. I wish more men would figure out how to respond to the question without making it sound like the mere question or claim is the biggest insult known to man and then going overboard with offensive rants trying to prove they're not such a horrible thing.

  3. Simon? Of course not. Ryan on the other hand....?

  4. My feelings exactly, Chris. It was amusing to watch Ryan almost hitting on David A. (what a talented cutie) last week.

  5. Paula was probably just directing the sexuality "innuendo" away from Ryan...this was probably a publicity stunt concocted by that close-knit circle of friends.
My favorite Ryan Gay Moment (and there are plenty) came during the initial auditions. There was this creepy auditioner and his father, who both wore broken heart (or heart & arrow, I forget) charms around their necks; the father would give his charm to the son to complete once he found the right woman.
Anyway, when the kid, who stank, was rejected and he walked out the door and into the arms of his dad, Ryan cruised this kid’s ass! I swear it seemed like 5 seconds that they lingered on Ryan staring at this kids behind. I wish I had a screen cap, and I am surprised they didn’t edit out the blatant glare.
Ahh, another chapter in AIs ‘Gays Of Our Lives’.

  6. Jack - It hadn't occurred to me to interpret Ryan's comments during David's segment that way but it's entirely likely...Would it have really occurred to anyone who WASN'T hawking on little David (adorable, talented, did-you-get-a-load-of-that-basket David) to mention that "you can't adopt him"?? Then he immediately follows up after David protests the remark ("Hey, I'm seventeen!") with "well, the ladies love you." Huh? Pretty transparent save, Ryan!

  8. Is it me or is this blog starting to get spammed [if that's the right word for it]? Check out ninaqin's post. Saw another odd one tonight. I know stream of consciousnes is OK, but this looks too odd.

Don't ruin another cool site, spammy!
