Polar Bear Arrested After Cutest Washington, DC Protest Ever

A Greenpeace activist was arrested last week after peacefully protesting the Bush administration's delay in issuing a final Endangered Species Act listing for polar bears due to global warming. He floated around in a rowboat in front of the Department of the Interior for a while before police came and took him away.
Here's the video:

I think the image of a polar bear being handcuffed by police is more striking than the protest itself.

I support Polar Bears' rights! Even if they enter the country illegally.

Y'know, I would have thought more seriously about the clip had it not been sugar-coated with the Gidget Goes To Kauai brand of beach blanket braindrain surf synth pop. It sorta says, "Getting arrested by the Feds for making a statement is FUN!" What they don't say is, "Protesting on government property without a permit is really lame, just wastes your time and everyone else's and boy, it's a bitch getting that black ink out from underneath your fingernails."
Attention whore.

all our good gay protesters died. you supposed the original ACT UP waited to get a permit brfore say laying down the coffins in Times Square. Maybe if the Ohio kids in the 60's had checked by the student union and gotten permits , Neil Young wouldn't have sung about four dead in Ohio. Those kids,... and I hope the embalmer was able to the the ink out from underneath their fingernails, those pesky little attention whore having fun. Judy Shepard has made it thus far I think without needing a manicure, but she would take the dirt if her cause needed it. Yeah for Polar Bear Man, an unlikely hero for me by cause, The lack concern for causes worth getting one's nail dirty, are the signs of the anemic politic in America.
