Um, Jack!, I would dispute the notion that A-Rod is a "straight rod". Um, not that I'm into rumours or anything, but, um, I have heard from someone I consider to be a pretty reliable source that A-Rod is a "friend of Dorothy" (his being married notwithstanding). By the way, ain't nothin' wrong with admiring a man of any persuasion, especially someone as handsome as A-Rod (who by the way WORKED IT off-season to get into what is arguably the best physical condition of his career. This is the "put up or shut up" year for A-Rod and the Yanks. And, A-Rod knows it.
