The Republican Nominee

Said Bush yesterday: "I've had my time in the Oval Office. It's been a fabulous experience...and by the way, I'm not through."

On another thread I recently wrote that I could stand 4 years of McCain if I had to. I lied. That is one frightening portrait. If I can't vote for Obama in November, then I will vote for Hillary Clinton (I can't use her married last name by itself. I never will again. It belongs to somebody else I don't like anymore...voted for his ass twice).

The image in this post just sent chills down my spine. If a dem doesn't win this time around, America is fucking screwed.

Butter, if a democrat doesn't win this time, the American voting system will have been rigged (again, presumably).

If white men want to bring America to the brink of destruction by hugging onto power way past their prime, who am I to stand in the way. Besides, it won't be too bad once the dust settles.
To paraphrase Kent Brockman:
I, for one, welcome our new Chinese overlords. I'd like to remind them that as a trusted homosexual personality I could be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground lead toy factories.

Now if only someone would photoshop Sen. Clinton's face onto McCain's head and attach Bush's ears, we'd have a winner.

again i have to point out the hypocrisy of the left. if the photo had been of obama with the minister louis "i am a bigot and racist" farrakahn, you all would be screaming bloody murder. lets leave the muckraking at the door and focus on things that matter to america. lets quit playing to base emotions. 'nuf said.

There's been a lot of talk in this campaign about "grassroots." There's more and more talk of the benefits of a combined H&O ticket. Some have said one or the other of them would never agree, but I've not seen anyone say it is a bad idea.
This morning's bombing in NYC, no matter how unrelated it will probably turn out to be to "organized terrorists," reminds us of the kinds of things that could happen between now and November to convert a doddering old warmonger like McCain into someone the majority of voters, regardless of any present support for a Democrat, think is the best person to "protect us."
I respectfully urge each of you to start e-mailing both the Clinton and Obama camps, as well as the DNC, and demanding a joint ticket. You can state your preference for which would be better "on top," but the important thing is the two together—combining their unique strengths and huge groups of supporters to defeat anything that Fate and the Rovians might throw at us.

You have nothing to lose but a few minutes of your time—and a new world to gain.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead
"Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable... Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people." - Martin Luther King, Jr.
"We must be the change we wish to see in the world." - Gandhi

Michael I usually fall asleep or scroll past most of your posts, thankfully this one was not to bad. It's a great idea and I'm doing it now. Keep your posts shorter, you may get more to read them, even the ones who don't agree with you.

I think its been years, if not decades, since Sen. John McCain looked like the man in the picture.
One way for the democrats to secure victory is to expose McCain's unabashed politicking:
He spoke at Liberty University at the invitation of Jerry Fallwell, etc.
Also, I think he may have a lot of "senior moments" on the campaign trail...let's hope those are on film and widely distributed.

AHHH, I'm blind, I'm blind I tell you! What was the horror that stole my sight? Wait, don't tell me, I might be deaf next.

Very funny! Too bad this technology isn't being used to show us what a Chace Crawford / JC Chasez hybrid would look like! That's a "candidate" to get behind!

This image needs as much media attention (Daily show/Colbert report) as it can get. The truth really does come out in political satire.

First of all the repubs want the democrats to win this year to take care of this filthy mess they have created.
Second, doesn't MCcain look like Bush in that photo? Just a little bit??
And lastly, Bush saying, "I'm not done yet" is so ironic that he should be bitched slapped and have all his holdings in the oil companies taken away! This man is by far the worst president ever!
he should be brought up on war crimes. Among so many other atrocities!
