New York high court refuses to strike down state's recognition of out-of-state same-sex marriage: "The Court of Appeals declined yesterday to review the mid-level appellate court's decision to recognize the couple's Canadian marriage, the first such ruling by an appellate court in New York State. For now, that lower court decision remains binding across the state."

Thomas Roberts talks to The Advocate about the news industry's glass ceiling for gays: "It’s funny that people think I got fired from CNN. I left CNN on my accord: I resigned from my contract because of personal reasons. I never dealt with anything but respect and kindness. There’s a great misconception. I’ve worked my ass off, I’ve been fortunate, and luck doesn’t hurt either. If people don’t like that I’m gay or that I talk about being gay, I’m sorry. Because that’s not my problem."
American Idol's resident stoner Jason Castro has his own hot doll, complete with dreads, and it can be yours.

Filipino Archbishop defends right of gays to participate in Santacruzans: "If they are devotees, they are religious and they look decent, I believe they have the right to join in. I think it would be better for us to see gays who act formally and decently in the Santacruzan rather than young and beautiful women who are not clean and [are] immoral."

Gay penguin book And Tango Makes Three is "most objected to" library book in America for second year straight: "Other books on the ALA's top 10 list include Maya Angelou's memoir I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, in which the author writes of being raped as a young girl; Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, long attacked for alleged racism; and Philip Pullman's The Golden Compass, an anti-religious work in which a former nun says: 'The Christian religion is a very powerful and convincing mistake.'"
Three teenage girls admit to tagging school and vehicles with racial, vulgar and homophobic messages in Wisconsin.
Moldova hopes to hold its first Gay Pride ever: "Organisers of the Gay Pride in Moldova – 'Rainbow over the Dniester' – are hopeful of being able to stage a parade this year in the country’s capital, Chisinau. The Pride is the seventh to be organised, but in previous years the parade has been banned by the authorities. 'During three previous consecutive years, public authorities have banned the public manifestations on various pretexts,' said a spokesperson for GenderDoc-M, the Pride organisers. 'This year after we applied to the City Hall to inform the authorities about planned public manifestation within the Pride, we got the information, which gave us hope.'"

Kylie Minogue show hot out of the gates in Paris.
One benefit to having a fat ass.
Rhode Island lawmakers to debate bills that would allow same-sex couples married elsewhere to divorce in that state: "Lawmakers filed the divorce bill after Rhode Island's Supreme Court ruled in December that a lesbian couple married in Massachusetts cannot divorce in Rhode Island, where they live. Massachusetts is the only state to legalize gay marriage."
Looks like Dick Cheney's gone hunting again.
John Travolta is a subway terrorist.
White House admits it is missing email backups from start of Iraq war: "The White House acknowledged in a court filing last night that it no longer has backup tapes of email from between March 1 and May 22, 2003, a period that includes the beginning of the Iraq war. Yesterday's filing is the latest development in the ongoing White House emails lawsuit, in which two non-profits, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) and the National Security Archive (NSA), are suing to force the administration to recover any missing emails and institute a more effective email archiving system."

Thomas Roberts, so, handsome and so talented with CNN and now stuck on one of those cheesy gossip shows :(.
Jason Castro, so tasty looking!

Personal reasons = being a sling queen

I recall seeing a news item about him posting anonymous nude frontals on a gay hookup site, and some enterprising fan matching the bedroom in which the photos were taken with Roberts' house listing on a realty site.
The sad thing is, he's a gorgeous guy but I think I like him better clothed than nude...

Once you've seen Thomas Roberts' ass on Manhunt, you'll never forget it. Tis a beauty.

Here are the photos of him nude:

So the guy has a sex life. Why is that something to be ashamed of?
Posted by: peterparker | May 7, 2008 2:59:56 PM
Oh why oh why oh why can Kylie not do a one-off promo something or other show in the states. Surely there are enough gays to fill MSG for one night?
And I already saw J Roberts' nudies on Ken212, and it don't have no bearing on me wanting to "bare" down on Mr. Roberts something naughty. Hell, I'll even bring the sling.

Thomas Roberts actually addresses those Manhunt photos on the last page of the Advocate interview...
"I never put inappropriate pictures of myself on a public website. For me it was really hurtful, for Patrick and I it was terribly painful, and I'm sure anyone reading this will realize that what happened was something that we needed to deal with on a personal level. And we've dealt with it -- we've closed the book on that issue and moved on."

Is Thomas Roberts saying those photos aren't him? I can't find the site but the evidence proving it is him is incontrovertible -- a listing for his house, with photos of the room he's nude in, which you can match exactly with the manhunt profile.
I don't think many gay couples are monogamous for very long, are they?

PULEAZE
what the heck is a "sling queen"?
Posted by: Jimmyboyo | May 7, 2008 3:41:31 PM
The way I read Roberts' comments, he never denies the pictures are him, only that he didn't create the profile/upload the pics.
That's a classic non-denial denial.
Sounds like maybe someone got hold of those pics and did it for some motive...

I felt a small chill when I read the small tidbit about the Wisconsin town bitten with graffiti vandals.
Sure enough it is where I grew up. A bucolic Victorian town on the St. Croix river. I went to school there, played and grew up there.
Is it any different? I don't know. I was called a faggot in the 80's when I was going to school. I didn't know what it meant!
Now girls are defacing property with no doubt that same word.
Have we advanced?

another hot homo is miguel marquez on abc. he's openly gay, too. he has said that he gets nothing but support and respect from his colleagues.

Oops, the second guy on the right has his socks down.
That is one heavily photoshopped pic of Roberts. Have they no shame?

The interview was also clearly conducted before he was RECENTLY FIRED FROM THE INSIDER. He got canned for what we hear are drug issues. You'll notice he is no longer on their web site
Living in Atlanta, where Thomas Roberts called home during the CNN years, we all know this is all false. He constantly cheated on his boyfriend, who by all accounts is a great guy with horrible taste in men - or a thirst for punishment.

The Golden Compass may be one of the most-objected-to books in America, but the nun in question doesn't appear until the second book in the series, The Subtle Knife, and the quote actually comes from the third book, The Amber Spyglass.

GOSSIP GAY
If actually read the entire interview, he mention he was let go from "The Insider," so the interview was conducted after he left "The Insider."

"I don't think many gay couples are monogamous for very long, are they?"
Surprise - not many straight couples are either! You either have the temperament for monogamy or you don't - that tendency isn't contingent upon sexual orientation, though.

Guess which of Kylie's dancers is straight?

jason castro was booted off AI. how sad, but not unexpected. he has a beautiful face. it has the epicene quality of a young man's face in a botticelli painting.

Gossip Gay... living up to your name?
Using phrases like "we all know", "what we hear" and "by all accounts" doesn't confer more legitimacy to your unsubstantiated claims about Thomas Roberts.

I really doubt thomas parted ways with the insider for drug use/abuse. How many times has Pat O'Brien gone to rehab and returned to a JOB...PLEASE ! The show was the wrong fit, enough said.
