Even though its a lot of money it is still 'Monet', sorry for being an asshat.

You're not a asshat Killjoy. I always look forward to the typos in this blog as it makes for a challenging read---everyday.

Re: OCR: I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the Orange Cty. Register should be so mis-informed about marriage. Forget the past history (e.g., women as chattel), but today the state has a vested interest in the modern institution: more stable family units; married people are less likely to need public funds; clear rules on decision-making and responsibilities, etc. Religion should stay out of marriage! Let them have "spiritual unions."

Wow...gay swimmers look just as stupid as everyone else when throwing up faux gang signs.

I loves me some Obama, but then he had to go and use the e-word. Everyone thinks their taste is so fucking ECLECTIC. Oh well. Nobody's perfect.

I agree on the faux gangster signs, but still say great for him for being so open.
I guess the outsports article did say that he is seeded 80th, so it doesn't paint a huge hope for him to qualify for the games. It could have been more informative on how Ian Crocker and Michael Phelps dominate. It is outsports, but some focus on the dominating straight Americans in the same race would be ok.

Thanks for the notes on the typos guys. I count on you to point them out to me, since unfortunately I don't have a copy editor on hand.

Give the swimmer kid a break. Taking the time to leave an insipid, put-down in the comments section of a blog is at least as asinine.

That swimmer can throw faux gang igns at me all day.
Note to those who say they have a swimmer's build in the Facebook/Gay.com/whatever profiles. That is what one looks like. Wading in a pool does not equate to a swimmer's build.

Andrew Langenfeld's most interesting comment in the article in Outsports was the revelation that several other swimmers at the trials are gay but closeted. The new Facebook group he mentioned merits watching Mr. Towle.

Regarding the 1 Oak nighclub bashing, it's interesting that the nightlub is reported to have said that it "wasn't a gay night". Well, what's that supposed to mean? Just because it isn't a "gay night", does that mean that we gay and bi men aren't supposed to be there? Give me a break....
I've noticed a lot of this in America recently. Gay and bi men - unlike gay and bi women - are being frozen out of the mainstream by the entertainment industry (eg MTV) and by nightclub operators. It's a mass mainstream shunning of gay and bi men.
Welcome to the world of phony acceptance based on segregation. It's the result of liberalism. It's also the result of your failure to challenge the mainstream and of your obsession with self-segregation.

I loved how Outsports worded it, that out swimmer Andrew Langenfeld, "says he’s seeded 80th out of about 150 competitors; the top two finishers in the event make the Olympic team."
I'll bet he has.
