Saudi Arabia Arrest Men for Alleged Homosexuality, Detain 21

Saudiarabia"Religious police" arrested "scores" of men suspected of being gay at a party in the eastern part of the country, according to reports:

"Al-Medina daily says the Commission for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, which employs the religious police, was told Friday of a large gathering of young men at a rest house in Qatif, in eastern Saudi Arabia. The paper says scores of men were initially arrested but only 21 remain in detention."

  1. What else should we expect from the nation that supplied and financed the terrorists who flew jets into our history, an event that, IMHO, made it possible for the current administration and it's Democratic lap-dog congress to shred the fourth amendment?

  2. What saddens me most is that Dubai has become such a major tourist destination for UK residents (and maybe other Europeans??) and includes a large gay population travelling there. We are giving our money to a government's economy that uses it this way? Why isn't more being said about NOT visiting a place like this. They'll take the pink dollar happily in Dubai and do this to their own. Research your holiday destinations.....

  3. Actually, Dubai is part of the UAE, not Saudi Arabia. UAE is a little less repressive than Saudi Arabia. But I wouldn't take my money (or my self) to any of these places. And I hope we can find a way soon to get off their god-damn oil. I don't want to give any more of my money to the Saudis.
