  2. Thank you, Andy. Incidentally, how many edumacated Fox News viewers do you think caught that?

  3. You need cuter newscasters to get people to ignore that.

  4. Ummmm.....that is grammatically correct.
I hate to give up any opportunity to make fun of Fox, but this isn' one of them.

  8. Thanks for posting this. I saw it the other morning when flipping channels, and had a HUGE laugh at it. I was HOPING someone would put in online, and they did!

  11. Could be dyslexia, I suppose, though that seems unlikely.

Incidentally, he also says that the schools are "making kids walk further from home," which is patently incorrect. They must walk farther, not further. This has always been one of my pet peeves.

  12. i missed it too. i'm better at math.

  13. Even better is the fact that kids might...shudder...have to walk somewhere! In an overweight nation they worry that they might have to exercise?

  14. Did any bother to tally the errors of CNN? MSNBC? Or is it because its Fox?

    Posted by: Diogenes | Jul 22, 2008 1:27:34 PM

  15. Look, I love making fun of Fox and their blatantly stupid opinions, but I can't hit 'em too hard on this one -- 'cause I do the saem -- uh, smae -- uh, same thing, sometimes. Your brian -- uh, brain gets ahead of your fingers and typos happen. I've seen the same thing on other networks, and in blogs on occasion, so it's just a bit petty.

HOWEVER -- I do take issue with the anchor's choice of "further" instead of "farther." That does show ignorance of the English language.

  16. Diogenes,

It's because it's Fox and they totally blow. Feel free to watch CNN/MSNBC or the rest of the dang librul media and catch their errors so you can report back.

  17. If I have to choose between watching a news network that misspells or outright distorts the truth like MSNBC. I'll take misspelling.
