Cooperroad.jpg Bermuda man who attacked gay man with a machete gets seven years in prison: "Cooper, 26 – older brother of the murdered Cooper twins – had a history of violent crime and homophobia before he launched the attack on Shawn Nusum, 25, in the early hours of November 15 last year. His Supreme Court trial heard how he had taunted Mr. Nusum, of St. David's on previous occasions over his sexuality, calling him a 'faggot' and similar names. On the night in question, the pair got into a dispute in Club Ovation, Water Street, St. George's, when Cooper taunted Mr. Nusum once again. He later lay in wait for Mr. Nusum, and as he left the premises he hit him about the face with a machete. The victim suffered a fractured nose, jaw and cheekbone. A cut to his left eyebrow has left him unable to raise it, and he will be permanently scarred."

  1. Kern County has more than it fair share of bigoted assholes. I grew up in Bakersfield and my husband and I are going up there to visit my parents this weekend.

I'd love to run into that horse-faced County Clerk and tell her where she can stick her so called "morals".

  4. "Mr. Jackson, what shall we do with the bottles of urine?"

  5. the san diego hotel boycott is a waste of time, since everything economically trickles down to the ownership of everything by a few people why bother -- anyway the owner says he welcomes gays and lesbians to his hotel, just doesn't agree with gay marriage and i have no problem with that -- just gimme a clean room with a well stocked minibar and i don't care what causes you support .... besides there's just too much of the hetties with kids tourism with sea world and the beaches for this to make any effect at all...

  6. It is nice to see a single gay parent doing so well with his kid. T.R. Knight is a great daddy

  7. At least one Iranian immigrant will have a job waiting for him at FOX News when he gets here.

The Queen, of course Manchester says he welcomes gays and lesbians into his hotel because he wants our money! That's more moeny he can give to anti-gay groups to be used against us. I care about more than clean rooms when I spend my money and you should too.

  8. The Peter Cook GQ cover was floating around two years ago when this all started. Gawker's a bit miffed that people are saying it was "unearthed" recently, but fuck them.

The early 80's were kinda SEXY.
    :)

  9. I actually remember that GQ issue! I was stationed in Germany and saw it in the Bahnhof, but didn't have enough Deutsche Marks to buy it. Oddly enough, it was sold out at the American PX! Hmm.

  10. Damn this Photoshopped missiles thing is funny, it looks like true Year 8 quality work. Ahmadinejad's 13-year-old son looks like he got bored one night.

Mainstream media isn't running with this story enough yet for my liking - falling into the Bushwhacked fear-mongering of 'Iran's missile tests', without pointing out how weak they must be that they had to fake them.
