Rick Sanchez Puts McCain Aide in a Corner Over Obama Attacks
The McCain campaign really has reached the bottom of the barrel, evidenced by this interview of McCain spokesman Michael Goldfarb by Rick Sanchez on CNN a little while ago.
Sanchez calls the McCain campaign out on the hypocrisy of criticizing Obama for his tenuous connections with Palestinian scholar Rashid Khalidi when McCain's organization gave $448,000 to a group founded by Khalidi.
Then, Sanchez puts Goldfarb in a corner with a simple follow-up question as Goldfarb continues to make accusations that Obama pals around with anti-Semites, and Goldfarb is left, literally, with nothing, nothing to say. Pathetic.
Watch it, AFTER THE JUMP...

Number 2? Is he talking about the guy from Austin Powers? I didn't know he's anti-Semitic, nor that he hangs out with Obama...

I still don't get it. Was he wanting to say "Osama bin Laden" but didn't have the balls to utter it?
The hypocrisy of the McCain/Palin campaign is rivaled only by the swirling, sucking void created by their lack of any substantive ideas for the issues that matter to most Americans.

Darn it--my box of straws is empty. Guess the GOP will have to find another straw to grasp. Pathetic!!!

Is Rev Wright anti-semitic ?
He did say that our pro-isreal policy which allowed atrocities and illegal camps and settlements in Palestine -- helpd JUSTIFY in the minds of mad men the the 9/11 attacks (which is true) ... but in Republican land that is anti-semitic and the problem is McCain said they can not use the Rev Wright attack (because it is even too much BS for him!)
So this tool just sit and squirmed ... the GOP Radical Right Wing all HATE McCain for not allowing them to SMEAR Obama with the words of his pastor.
Sarah Palin will attack John McCain over it within a month.
Watch. As she get ready for her 2012 run.

Am I being a bit paranoid, or was that just a little sinister? It's not that he couldn't name someone, it's that he didn't want to say a name. What's up with that?
Posted by: Gregus | Oct 30, 2008 6:17:16 PM
Whoa. Talk about pandering to the basest of the Republican base. Yup. He wants to associate Obama with Osama. Because you know, we ALL know Obama is a closet Muslim. Even cynical me with All Things Republican, I'm shocked at how utterly juvenile and clearly unprofessional this "McCain spokesman" is. In any other profession, that type of inarticulate and devoid of fact performance would get a person canned if he was the PR face of a public company.

This "crap" sells on Fox News and they never ask for examples. McCain hopes that his lies will become truth thru Fox News and urban legends/rumors spread by the ignorant.

Who is number 2? Who was he implying?
Posted by: Travis | Oct 30, 2008 6:47:53 PM
douche!!!!
Does the McCain camp watch this and cringe when they see the ineptitude of their so called campaign aides? This one is even worst than that other idiot Tucker Bounds!!!!
I would have loved to have seen Campbell Brown drill this idiot a new asshole live on tv the way she did with Tucker!!!

Who is number 2?
You are(,) number 6.
I am not a number; I am a free man!

Hah, Sexyback! I'm probably the only person on this site who's gonna get that.

There's nothing to be said about this that hasn't been stated. This man represents the desperation from the McCain camp. For someone who slammed Bush's tactics during the 2000 election, he has sunk lower than any politician I have seen. McCain belongs in jail along with tax evading Samuel "Joe the Plumber".

Names? He'll have to go get 'em and bring 'em back to ya!
Like Palin's reading material and Supreme Court cases.

"Where am I?"
"In the Village."
"What do you want?"
"Information."
"Whose side are you on?"
"That would be telling…. We want information. Information! INFORMATION!"
"You won't get it."
"By hook or by crook, we will."
"Who are you?"
"The new Number Two."
"Who is Number One?"
"You are Number Six."
"I am not a number — I am a free man!"

What a joke this guy is! He acts like the report is supposed to read his mind.

Come on, Crispy, give some of us a little credit! You're not the only gay sci-fi nerd in the world ;)

Sexyback and Johninmanhattan, you made my day! I'm now netflixing the series so I have it for my flight next week!

I do not think that Mr.
Goldfarb looks like someone who has been backed into a corner by the say who #2 is question. He has a smirky smile. I believe he wants to say that the mysterious number 2 is Louis Farrakan. I have the Flush Limbo implying that Obama is friends with him because they own homes in the same neigborhood. I have to stop listening to that crap talk radio. I am either going to hit a tree having a fit of laughter over the idiocy that they feed their base or a fit of anger.

Well done Rick Sanchez!!!!!!!
It is ALL TOO RARE to see someone asking the obvious and necessary, AND then following up when a question isn't answered. Now someone should be asking these questions to McCain/Palin themselves.

Oh wow we used to watch The Prisoner in my honors English class junior year of high school.
I still don't know why.
It was hella good though.

The 2nd person he couldn't mention was Jeremiah Wright.
Does anyone think it is strange we've never seen any video or photo of his grandma that isn't over 20 plus years old?
Anyone find it weird we don't have interviews with people that went to school with Obama.... ever? No elementary, no high school, no college.
Anyone find it weird we know of no friends he has or social life outside of his wife and 2 kids?
We know more about Palin's uterus than simple little things about Obama and she's only been in this race for 2 months.
Posted by: Todd | Oct 31, 2008 2:51:26 AM
That's not true-I've read articles with people who went to high school and college with Obama and law school professors praising his intelligence. You just aren't seeing them because you don't want to see them. His grandma did a commercial for him this year. And not having a social life outside of your wife and kids is actually normal for a middle aged straight guy with kids, believe it or not. A lot of his friends are his advisors and are working on his campaign.
And we don't know that much about Palin's uterus-she refused to release her health records-McCain released his-they were extremely long and he only let reporters take three hours to skim over them.
