This is What You Call 'First Base' in a Reality Show Bromance

Survivor10

Kissing a smidgeon of fruit tenderly off gay fellow contestant's shoulder, then going in for the almost-kiss as straight fellow contestant observes bromance wantonly.

Survivor3

We chronicled the crush early on. Things get horny in the African jungle, and one must do something to survive.

  1. don't get excited or carried away. Charlie has been nothing short of overtly enamored with Marcus from the get-go, so this is nothing other than smart game play on Marcus' part.

He loves attention and validation wherever it comes from and it is working. Charlie would never, ever vote him out.

  2. the first three letters of the captcha code i had to enter to post the above comment were G-A-Y. How funny.

  3. Marcus has completely beguiled Charlie, and I think Charlie knows it but is having too much fun to care.

I've also noticed Marcus being rather affectionate with straight boy Dan, so there may be a jealousy thing going on later...that'd be interesting to watch.....

  4. Well this is going to play out very well or very badly!! If in fact Marcus is "playing Charlie", and HE DOES CLAIM to Be Str8, and it's obvious that Charlie is so gay, i agree charlie will never vote him out and will be there to the end with him,,,, what will be interesting is this, if Marcus for whatever reason gets voted off Charlie is going to be a "MESS", and vice versa if Marcus moves to vote charlie out same thing! In any event this relationship is going to be the hottest issue Survivor has had to deal with either it will be the thing dreams (fantasies) are made of or the worse drama nightmare since richard hatch went au natural in season one!! I do love watching charlie fawn over marcus tho and yes the "kiss" on the shoulder was very interesting considering charlie fucked that challenge up so badly by not hitting any fruit (how appropriate was that challenge?)!!!!

  6. Oh, they're in love, it's fun! Let them enjoy their jungle love...until it comes time for divorce court...although who knows, maybe they'll go top two together and have to get married!

  7. sorry look at his body language. hes not reciprocting. you can see only one person doing the chasing. marcus is str8

  8. Crushing on str8 guys is desperate, self defeating and unfortunately confirms the hets worst fears about us.

  9. Sure, he's straight, whatever. But he still has to face his buddies now and explain away this rather intimate exchange, million or no million. Straight guys don't caress each other's faces when they hug, or kiss shoulders, no matter how thick the bromance is. Sure, it would be nice if that was the norm, but this is pretty compelling stuff and it caught my attention immediately last night. I'd like to know the sleeping arrangements, please.

  10. Johnny,

Straight guys most certainly do quite a bit more than this. An intimate victory celebration with your teammate after a victory is just that, not a declaration of love. I've been in quite a few celebrations with my teammates in college and we hugged and held hands and caressed faces and jumped into each other arms, and they were all straight and it was just a celebration. After one race, my coach kissed me on the cheek. We didn't sleep together afterwards. I don't think he would have been interested.

...I might have been. Just saying...

  11. Still trying to figure out why no on can tell that Marcus is gay. He and Charlie are gurlfriends. He doesnt even interact with the women, like at all. I dunno, its been obvious to any gay guy Ive talked to about this. Maybe he is making his way out...

  12. All I know is, it's HOT !

  13. Oh come on you bitches. Take a chill pill. Don't have to bitch at a stranger who has openly said he was gay.....???

    How many people do that?

    Argghh...

  14. This type of innuendo is perfect material for those who are against ays in the military. Look at your story. Any affection, any friendship is suddenly seen through your eyes as a sexual thing. Cannot 2 men be friends or compatriots without being smeared as gay or expecting some sexual action as a result. Get a grip. You set us back years.

  15. Anyone who uses a phrase like "smeared as gay" has set "us" back decades.

  16. Andy lives for bromance. It provides the option of him finding what he really seeks. He's a man's man's man. Finding a gay one is finding a very good actor. And haven't you been down that Survivor road?

  17. Oh, really? We're distracted and overly involved with this soap opera "reality" show? It's all scripted, friends. Untwist your panties and remember that you're seeing only what the writers want you to see.

  18. I like how sex (or the suggestion of it) is interrupting the raw competition these shows are set up to celebrate. Although I'm sure we won't get a “Hunger Games” conclusion, I choose to see this as proof sex is a force for good!
