Tires Slashed, Early Voters Intimidated by McCain Supporters in NC
Hours after a Fayetteville, North Carolina Obama rally during which the tires of over 30 vehicles were slashed, supporters of John McCain heckled voters at a polling place.

The Washington Times reports: "An organizer at the rally rattled off the addresses of early vote sites nearby that would be open after the event. Photographer Joe Eddins and I headed over to the closest one and found a steady line of voters hoping to cast ballots early. Most seemed to be Obama supporters and several had come from the rally. Nearly all the voters were black. Also at the polling site was a group of loud and angry protesters who shouted and mocked the voters as they walked in. Nearly all were white. As you can see from these videos, no one held anything back. People were shouting about Obama's acknowledged cocaine use as a young man, abortion and one man used the word 'terrorist.' They also were complaining that Sundays are for church, not voting."
As for the tire-slashing incident:
"Someone slashed the tires of at least 30 vehicles parked outside the Crown Coliseum on Sunday during a rally for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, authorities said...Sarah Revis, who lives on Wilkes Road, said the slashed tires left several women, including a single mother and a toddler, stranded and upset. At least four tow trucks were sent to move the vehicles from the Crown, Revis said. 'This is an embarrassment to this city and to me as a citizen,' Revis said. 'I’ve seen women out here crying and men cussing. This is a crying shame.' Lynne Steenstra said she thought that the slashings were scare tactics designed to keep her and others from supporting Obama."

Wow, now has McCain and the "Christian" Sarah Palin and the RNC come out to condemn this? Or as usual, look the other way? This is disgusting, and, the law needs to be called in, and, not the local GOP leaning police, eh FBI since intimidation at the polls is illegal, even in North Carolina. These two bit, trifling racists are as vile as their candidate of choice.

Reminds me somewhat my grandparents told me about the German Nazi elections. Reminds me of Adolf’s argument that he could not control the violence caused by his supporters.
Put Hitler for many other LEADERS and surprisingly it is possible today even here in the USA.
So all the Republican supporters make more than 250.000 Dollars and don’t need tax breaks, they all have healthcare, they are not affected by the economic crisis … So the Democrats are just a bunch of poor people (Socialists), have no healthcare, have abortions all the time, are gay…

just to add to that, the body of a 75 pound bear cub was found by maintenance workers this morning on the campus of western carolina university with obama signs draped on it.
there really seems to be no end to the sick actions that are being committed by mccain supporters.

I'm tired of hearing that I'm not patriotic or even un-American because I happen to think differently than they do. And now, we see harassment and voter intimidation?
Make no mistake. The violence will happen somewhere. McCain's campaign's rhetoric has fanned the flames.
How is this democratic or patriotic? How is this putting country first?

Problem is, these people ARE American -- they just don't believe in democracy unless it means electing people they like to office. If you vote for someone they don't like, they hate you for being allowed to do so and berate you for daring to think this is a country based on honest freedom. And if you think John McCain gives one single solitary damn about this fascistic behavior, you're crazy. He's senile, so he can't even begin to understand what's going on.

God I miss Tim Russert right about now. There is no voice of reason to highlight the absurdity here. Olbermann is limited and gets a little to theatric...no one else springs to mind.
This country is quickly reverting back to McCarthy-istic tendencies. This is either going to come to a head, or get much much worse.
We are the laughing stock of the world.
For the love of God, VOTE! Don't let another 2000 happen. Let your delegates know how you feel and let the (albeit useless) popular vote be so compelling that electoral college will either be utterly compelled to do the right thing, or else be exposed as outdated and ineffectual.

How about we give them f-ing Alaska and they can all move there to live and breed hate and home-schooled children. Sarah Palin can be their President. We in civil America can build a border fence THERE and watch the crazies in their zoo as we all decide to get along...with each other and the rest of the world. This way Sarah Palin could enlarge her constituency to more than the 600,000 or so people in Alaska presently. That would make her the "executive" of at least more people than the city of San Francisco (population:764,976). These are the people who claim to be so "Christian"? Give me a break? Losers. It seems as though some things never change. These white folks are in an uproar because of the possibility of a "BLACK(mixed)" President being elected. It seems like history repeats itself one way or another, when "White" folks don't like somthing (because they are superior accoring to them) they protest with Hatered, Violence, False Accusations or with Lynchings as history has shown. These McCain/Palin voters need to be kicked in the butt if they vote for those two, we will be in the same disatorous mess that we are in right now. McCain/Palin are not for the middle or lower class, he claims change, the only change their will be is another old, beady-eyed, lying through his teeth man, but with a woman who has "No" experience (That's what was said about Obama) woman from Alaska, whose young daughter was photographed giving her young brother the "F U Finger", how ignorant. God Help and Bless this not so "UNITED" States of America. We are united when it benefits one group of people, how sad.
