GQ's Men of the Year
GQ is out with its "Men of the Year" issue featuring four different covers of Barack Obama, Leonardo Dicaprio, Jon Hamm, and Michael Phelps.

Okay,
Hamm, Phelps, and Obama I can see. But DICRAPRIO? Why in the WORLD would he have been voted Man of the Year? I run a MovieWebsite (www.movieplex.org) and believe me Leonardo is NOT a that popular anymore or has done anything os Special to get Man off the Year.
he must have one HELLUVA Publicist!

DiCaprio may be on there for the Get Out the Vote campaign he did or for the environment issues he highlighted this year. hasn't been acting as much as acting up.

Funny, WOLFIE, I at least know that he spends a great deal of time advocating for environmental policy change. I'm mostly unsure of why Jon Hamm is in the picture.

John Hamm for bringing back some style to men’s fashion.
At least Phelps isn’t flashing his beaver teeth but that is still a bad photo of him. He’s already over exposed.

Good for Phelps. He worked hard and deserves everything he reaps for all his years of hard work in his sport - and for hiring a great manager to look out for his interests!

John Hamm's character is everything i fear about hetero white guys. He's seems like a boring asshole in person too. Definitely not man of the year material.

I don't really find Michael Phelps physically attractive, but those pics feature my favorite male body part (the flank/thigh joint), so they're still pretty damn hot. I think this is a pretty substantial bunch all around--not just good looking, but talented and smart.

Jon Hamm stars in an Emmy Award winning TV series that I think is more addictive than crack.
He's also dead sexy (even though I think I have a softer spot in my heart for silver fox John Slattery on the show). Don Draper is a complex character that does both honorable and dishonorable things . . . and Hamm plays him beautifully.
I am surprised to read people don't like him.

I hope you're wrong. At the risk of being the resident Church Lady or village scold, Michael is still a big hero to the under 15 set. We've sexualized our kids, particularly with the influence of the net, too much already. Let's let one hero not be just another debauched celebrity. Besides I'm sure all those big buck endorsement deals all have morality clauses in them and while Speedo Mike may not be a genius, I'm sure he's not quite as slow as those Univ. of Nebraska wrestlers.
