Jim Quinn: Gays Produce AIDS, Should Pay Higher Health Insurance
While discussing the passage of Proposition 8 on his Clear Channel radio show The War Room with Quinn & Rose, host Jim Quinn said gays should pay more for their health insurance because gay sex produces AIDS, Media Matters reports:
"The only thing that -- the only thing that gay marriage produce -- well, gay marriage doesn't produce anything that the state has an interest in. Gay sex produces AIDS, which the state doesn't have -- or should have an interest in. They should charge homosexuals more for their -- for their health insurance than they charge the rest of us...I mean, just like they charge -- look, if I'm a tobacco smoker, I pay more, right? Why? Because I'm risking my life, and the insurance company has an interest in that, because the chances were more likely they're gonna have to pay off on me than somebody else. So why don't they charge gay men, especially, higher premiums? Because they're engaged in an activity that will have an impact on that - on the health care system."

Oh yeah? Well the straights produce babies so they should have to pay higher taxes for schooling. Why should we have to pay for their kids school?
What a dolt.

What a great display of ignorance.

Some people are so stupid, it's a miracle they can dress themselves. (Presuming they do.)

You see, Dan Savage and others need to remind all gay people that the enemy comes in all colors--not just black. What's happening at these post-Prop. 8 rallies in California could turn really ugly if gay leaders don't speak up and stop the racial tension.

He deserves free speech, however I will boycott Clear Channel's advertisers and will look into who their contact people are.
Like the posters i've read say:
"No More Mr. Nice Gay."

Last time I checked I DO pay for more for my health insurance - I have to pay the taxes on my partner since the federal government thinks he's a stranger. And I'm gonna bet that fella's had more unprotected gay sex in his day than I have, so...

That cuntbag gives breeders a bad name.

That mindset is exactly the reason the epidemic got out of control in the first place. What a complete ASS! Sad to say I am completely not surprised. The media has completely abandoned their role of publishing the truth about such things. Now they are only interested in creating sensationalism in order to increase their ratings. We're doomed as a society unless they pull their head out of their collective asses and start doing their jobs. Report lies as lies an not as "an alternative point of view".

Wait, gay sex produces AIDS? What?! OH MY GOD!!!
This guy is a fucking tool. If you'd like to tell him that, or anything else...

I don't mind paying higher premiums based on sexuality. If it means we insure more gay and lesbian people in that group of people. At the rate at which gay and lesbian people help each other we will be the best funded group of all the people they can divide up.
Have at it.

Who the Hell is this guy? And why do we care what he says again? Don't e-mail, don't boycott, just let this one sail. Don't make him famous for this dribble, it's obviously a publicity ploy.

Hey, don't take this laying down, go to Clear Channels website and start calling them, sending emails and letting them know that we wont take it anymore.

That is the woman who is the contact person for Clear Channel. It is time to start flooding her inbox with emails letting them know we are listening, and wont take it.

Here we go. With the passage of the four anti-gay measures on Tuesday, some of our enemies will now think it open season and completely acceptable to spew forth all the homophobic garbage and that has been circulating for decades. They don't realize how stupid it makes them look. And we must not tolerate it.

I can think of at least one time that straight sex produced an idiot. Actually, I can think of a lot more.

why not charge blacks more for health insurance because they're a high risk HIV group? or women more since they're a high risk heart disease group? or men because they're a high risk prostate cancer group?
dumbass.

Whenever anti-gay legislation gets passed, hate crimes against the gay community goes up. And, whenever pro-gay legislation gets passed, hate crimes against the gay community goes up. We have to stand together and fight like hell!

I'm glad I never heard of this clown until today, and I look forward to forgetting him. Let's not give him the benefit of publicity, let's instead take our energy and use it to tell the truth. If you're in LA, come to the rally at 6p at Sunset Junction. It's time we took this matter into our own hands.

You have got to be kidding me. This person is a complete idiot. Read a book sometime, buddy!

And lesbians should pay less because they have the lowest rates of HIV infection of any group. If AIDS is god's plague against gay people, that means lesbians are god's chosen people, right?
