Stewart to O'Reilly: Gay Marriage the Next Step in America's Tradition

Says Stewart: "The tradition in America is a progression of individual freedoms. You know what the tradition of America would say? Gay marriage is the next step in the progression. That's the tradition of America. Your idea of tradition is a mythological Ozzie and Harriet thing."

  2. I also loved how Bill-O mistook a $1200 Eames management chair for something from Costco... Yeesh!

  3. O'Reilly's actually palatable when on stage with Stewart. I find myself not wanting to puke with contempt at the irrational ignorance after watching that segment. But only because Jon Stewart's so dreamy... *swoon*

  6. Stewart is too nice to O'Reilly. Gives him too much respect. I blame O'Reilly for pandering to the worst in people and hold him and his ilk responsible for much of the current hostility toward the GLBT community. I think his hateful and biased rhetoric not only incites people, it's DESIGNED to incite people. And for what? To pad Bill's pockets.

  10. Bill O'Reilly is a bigot.

Jon Stewart did a great job in the second half of the interview. America is about the progression of individual freedoms.
