Mud Continues to Fly in Palin's Direction from McCain Campaign
It wasn't only that Palin isn't smarter than a fifth grader. From an article in today's New York Times:
"As late as Tuesday night, a McCain adviser said, Ms. Palin was pushing to deliver her own speech just before Mr. McCain’s concession speech, even though vice-presidential nominees do not traditionally speak on election night. But Ms. Palin met up with Mr. McCain with text in hand. She was told no by Mark Salter, one of Mr. McCain’s closest advisers, and Steve Schmidt, Mr. McCain’s top strategist....On Wednesday, two top McCain campaign advisers said that the clothing purchases for Ms. Palin and her family were a particular source of outrage for them. As they portrayed it, Ms. Palin had been advised by Nicolle Wallace, a senior McCain aide, that she should buy three new suits for the Republican National Convention in St. Paul in September and three additional suits for the fall campaign. The budget for the clothes was anticipated to be from $20,000 to $25,000, the officials said...Instead, in a public relations debacle undermining Ms. Palin’s image as an everywoman 'hockey mom,' bills came in to the Republican National Committee for about $150,000, including charges of $75,062 at Neiman Marcus and $49,425 at Saks Fifth Avenue. The bills included clothing for Ms. Palin’s family and purchases of shoes, luggage and jewelry, the advisers said...The advisers described the McCain campaign as incredulous about the shopping spree and said Republican National Committee lawyers were likely to go to Alaska to conduct an inventory and try to account for all that was spent."

Yeah, well, no sympathy for the McCain campaign. Is too late to throw barbs to Palin, the campaign did nothing to stop/change the behavior! Spare me!

Now that it's over, the trash coming into the light of day will be just as lurid as the bizarre campaign they ran.
Can’t they just leave poor Sarah alone?!!

BTW, my "poor Sarah" remark was made with tongue planted firmly in cheek . . .

If Palin keeps the clothes does she have to pay taxes on them?

Funny that these comments are coming from the same people who claimed to have fully vetted her. Too late, let it go.

Oh man, it's like the "Pretty Woman" shopping spree, and then the Republicans are like, "uh, oh! We lost! How can we deflect attention from our own failure? Hey - Sarah Palin, the bulldog with lipstick! The clothes we had her buy!!! Let's shame her for it!"
I wonder if she'll have to return it all? I agree that she should at least have to pay taxes on it - oh - yeah, she doesn't think paying taxes is "patriotic!"
I am so grateful she's no longer possibly "a heartbeat away!"

The GOP is cleaning house and this seems like a classic case of killing the monster they created. Sarah is indeed the main reason why they lost this election and they cannot risk her ascent to a higher office, much less a presidential bid in 2012. Sadly, this poor, misinformed woman belived her own hype and really thinks she's suited to play in the big leagues.
If she were to ever run against Hillary Clinton, Hils would have her for breakfast! And I have to admit that the old Dynasty-loving me would love to see that slapfest!
HuffPo is running an O'Reilly clip with Repug mouthpiece Carl Cameron airing all of her dirty rags along with a healthy dollop of vicious gossip from the McCain handlers.
I can't say that I feel sorry for her, considering her nasty smears against Obama. According to McCain staffers, she never followed her "script", so I have to assume that Piggy was fully aware of what she saying. She was neither a puppet nor a victim in that sense.
So as goes Joe the Plumber, so goes Sarah "Piggy" Palin. Good riddance.

Well, the McCain campaign was very poorly run anyway, so this is just more evidence of that. She would not need to pay taxes because it comes as a business expense. She's still a member of the party.

Well that's the way the cookie crumbles when you try and pull a fsat one on the public. He had no idea who this chick was and what she stood for, all he thought is he could get the female HRC voter. Too bad he didn't have a clue is that they are/were far too smart to fall for this trap.
Dumb as dirt on just about any real issue, but, smart enough to know how to use hate to get her point across would be the best way to decribe Sarah.

She is an ego maniac. Hopefully this is the last we will ever see or hear of La Palin.

Hell, Chelsea Clinton's secretary would have sarah for lunch. Sarah isn't equipped to sneak up on Hillary's shadow.
:-)
Never loose sight on what this is about = romney people who switched to the mccain campaign prepping the ground for Romney 2012 without any threat from sarah in the primaries.

No Peter, I want her to run in 2012, Obama could sleep through the debates and beat her sorry Moose hunting ass.

Huffpo has a diary up about Romney 2012 already hitting the ground with a facebook site and campaign staff gearing up already. be prepared!!!!!

look for romney to announce running in 2012... before the end of the month.

Romney, The Ken Daddy Doll on '12, huh?
Don't kill me for this, but I always had a fantasy about him as the uptight Mormon college dean bursting into the naughty college boys' dorms to disperse punishment, only to end up on the receiving end of pent up Mormon Boy Angst, if you know what I mean.

" She would not need to pay taxes because it comes as a business expense. She's still a member of the party."
Does that include the shit she bought for her family on the company dime? I didn't think so.

You had a Romney fantasy too?! ( I thought I was all alone there). mine involves no college boys and Romney is a business exec. But now you've given me better (and sicker ) ideas.
