  1. I've been home sick this week and Whoopi has been very vocal in her opposition to Prop 8 on The View.

It sickened me to have Sherri Shepherd crying about how now that Obama has won the election that she can tell her son, "no limitations" and then hear she isn't on one side of the fence or the other on gay marriage. Well we gays still face limitations

  2. Love Whoopi...

What do you expect from Sherri when she's not even sure whether or not the world is round?

I hate people who are not gay and speak for gay and use GOD as a tool to promote hate. My GOD I know love everyone regardless.

" If God had wanted me otherwise, He would have created me otherwise."
    Amen...

  3. Thank you, Whoopi. I don't ever want to hear you say you didn't graduate from highschool, because it doesn't matter - you're wise, decent, and brave.

  4. It's nice that Whoopi will be there in support tonight but I hope she keeps her mouth shut. The woman may mean well but she's a f*cking moron who can barely read her cue cards on THE VIEW much less get her facts straight when it comes to Prop 8. She does more damage than good because she never comes prepared with the facts. Her reading of GLAAD's fiction vs. fact Prop 8 sheet on THE VIEW was an embarrassing mess. You know you're in trouble when Sherri Shepherd gets the upper hand.

Don't even get me started on Babs Walters, the empress of the false equivalent argument when addressing hateful bigotry.

  5. Whoa there John..... I think what your saying about Whoopi is a little of base. She has been saying something about the passage of Prop 8 since it was passed and she has said, consisently, that this is so wrong. She stands up to Sherri and the Elizabeth daily. I know of no other straight person who has been so vocal since Prop 8's passage! At least we have one person out there questioning what CA did for the rights of gay people!!
Damn son, it's gonna be okay...

  7. Whoopi was definitely there because they showed her in the crowd on CNN's Anderson Cooper.

They had Dan Savage debate Tony Perkins again on Anderson Cooper's show.

  8. In 1849, California's first constitutional convention was held at Colton Hall in Monterey, California. This historic landmark is now the oldest continually used municipal building in California. If you're planning on attending a No on H8 rally on Saturday, Colton Hall in Monterey is a great place to go. Not only is Monterey one of the most beautiful cities in California, it is the birthplace of the California Constitution. Come and spend the day in Monterey!

This Saturday, November 15, Monterey County will be joining the nationwide protest of the passing of Proposition 8 in California. Please join us for a peaceful rally, 10:30 AM at Colton Hall. After gathering at Colton Hall we will march to Windows on the Bay at 11 AM. Bring your yard signs or make your own signs. Pass the word along to anyone and everyone. The more people we have the stronger the impact will be.

All of our efforts before the election were not in vain. Although Proposition 8 passed in California it failed in Monterey County by a 4 point margin, 52% No vs. 48% Yes. Thanks for your efforts and let's keep up the fight to defeat this unfair and wrong amendment to the California Constitution.

Here is a website you can take a look at to see what is going on around the nation: http://jointheimpact.com/

We look forward to seeing you at Colton Hall this Saturday at 10:30 AM.

  9. Woopi Goldberg, and I am a big fan, would have done better by going to the black churches in California, maybe with some of her famous friends, and asking her fellow black Christians to vote against Prop. 8, perhaps convincing them by the weight of her elegant arguments of the wisdom of such a vote for the benifit of all who are oppressed, instead of protesting in New York with a bunch of white Gays, Gays who would have received a less than warm welcome in those same California black churches.
