Vampire Buzz: Robert Pattinson Chops Off His Hair

That sonic boom you heard over the weekend was the collective wail of a million tweens. Twilight and Little Ashes star Robert Pattinson made the bold move of removing his most discussed and distinctive physical asset over the weekend — his trademark incredible hair.
He was spotted shopping at a packing supplies store when the discovery was made. No doubt he was shopping for cardboard boxes in which to store all that hair that was taken off. And from the look on his face, it takes a lot of boxes.

Much, much better.

And just like that he becomes cute to me. It was the fluff all along.

Those eyebrows remind me of Brooke Shields. Or Brezhnev. Not sure which. But still, much much better.

Wow, he's actually pretty cute.

thank god. none too soon either. he always looked like a drunk man you'd stumble upon in an alleyway with his long hair. now he just looks like a man. my hatred of everything twilight has lessened slightly today. maybe my heart will grow two sizes too big later on?

I'd take him either way, by golly!

remember what happened to Felicity after she cut off her hair... no more work.

The current style of beard stubble on men's faces looks really becoming and sexy on many. Others simply look like hobos.

Hey, he actually is attractive! Whattya know!

Felicity's been making a big comeback.
In RP's case, I do think there's a happy medium, but his hair was getting way out of hand and this is much, much better.
That said, I always thought he was terrifyingly good looking, be it with his absurdly gross and overgrown hair or in these pictures - his quest to look like a lumber jack, 'dressing for the part' of buying boxes. LOL.

I don't want him you can have him he's too twink for me.

ABDEN,Do you even know what a so-called "Twink" is?Its disgusting how superficial and critical some air-headed queens can be,I mean for real. The pretentious superficial arrogant attitude fine til your about 25 then its time to get over urself and grow up.If I had the attitude some dunce queens have,I wouldnt be in the best relationship with the love of my life.Id be a single miserable little bastard like the majority of this community. The guy looked handsome before and after.

Sorry queens, too late. Ya'll didn't want him when he had poofy hair so hands off! You didn't even acknowledge how sweet and humble he was in interviews!
I'm so glad I'm able to see past the little quirks and appreciate people for who they are. :P

i found him to be quirkily entertaining in interviews, but found the whole hair affectation annoying. i had no IDEA how much better looking he would be without it. it turns out he has a smile and a killer jawline, and is not just hair and eyes.
(and, as one magazine pointed out, he has gylenhaal eyebrows)

I like that he doesn't have fake hollywood teeth. Still, he looks a bit like Chandler Bing.

I remember that Keri Russell elicited a similar reaction when she cut off her hair in Felicity. I'm sure that people will still watch him even with shortened locks...but he had 3 months to grow them out. New Moon and Eclipse will start shooting in March.

NOOOOO!! his hair was so HOT!! :(:(:(
(he's still pretty hot tbh... but stil,,, :()

Ya, I really like the less hair look. But don't forget, just because a look is attractive to hetero women doesn't mean it's equally attractive to gay men. Men who like men sometimes have quite different ideas about what looks hott than women who like men. The whole "meterosexual" thing is a perfect example of this, and Pattison's former big hair is too. Women love it, gay men generally prefer a closer-cropped look these days.
Anyway, a hairdo can disguise an otherwise tragic hairline, which is a major part of a man's facial hottness; hence, almost anyone can look hott in a ballcap, but remove it to see what the real deal is.

well he did look cute with his hair up for twilgiht but i like the third picture
Posted by: Nikki | Dec 24, 2008 1:45:33 PM
oh nooo...how could he? i love his dizzy hair!!!
Posted by: melina | Dec 26, 2008 11:13:17 AM
Girlfriend, now you look like any other cute young gay guy. Before you looked "special", "real special". I am not sure you will still get jobs looking normal.
Of course the hair issue is way more important than the economic meltdown or the war!
