Because we all know the best way to rob people is to crucify them and leave them to die in the middle of nowhere. I wonder if she’d consider it a “hoax” or an “unfortunate incident” (the unfortunate debatable in her case) if she were “robbed” in a similar manner?

Courtesy of AMERICABlog, you can call this dried-up old cunt and tell her that she is a horrible excuse for a human being and a thorough waste of air, water and food:

    Phone: (202) 225-2071
    Phone: (336) 778-0211
    Phone: (828) 265-0240

And where did Ms. Foxx get her credentials in psychology, criminal justice, psychosexual behavior and sexual orientation–let me guess- could it be HER
    personal interpretation of the Bible?
This country has so much to overcome and such a long way to go. Very sad.

  4. JTlvr says

That was beyond offensive. I’m almost too angry to type.

However, it has motivated me to get off my butt and call around for volunteering opportunities local gay organizations. There should never ever be another Matthew Shepard. Period.

  5. Darren says

It’s not surprising is it? We know that her age group is basically “agin” us. That’s fine. WE have momentum on our side and when she is long gone we will be dancing at our weddings, sending our kids off to school, and yes, still fornicating in the privacy of our bedrooms for all on xtube to see.. 😉

Go on and tell those lies while you still have breath sister. Your time is over and history will judge you as harshly as it does the Segregationists.

The nature of narcissists’ personality disorder is so profound and so primitive that narcissists damage virtually everyone who comes into contact with them. They hurt their children in ways that are hardly imaginable to anyone who hasn’t been there. Narcissists elicit profound and primitive wrath rage hostility from sane and stable people. This damages the social fabric by alienating the very people who might possibly be able to counterbalance the narcissists’ malign influences.

  7. Sean says

I don’t really believe in the concept of heaven and hell, but if ever there were a time I wanted hell to exist, this is it. Perhaps that she believes in it is enough.

  8. Bruno says

I wish I had Keith Olbermann’s phone number. To get Foxx on Worst Person in the World today, of course, but I wouldn’t mind having it for other reasons either.

  9. troschne says

Um, Ginny, hon–if Matt Shepard wasn’t killed because he was gay, then how come one of his killers used the Gay Panic Defense? Can’t have it both ways, shug. Stupid whore.

LMFAO at Russ’ description of her! Thanks for the numbers!

  10. Leland Frances says

Some may recall that this distortion was first promoted by no less than Elizacunt Vargas on a special edition of ABC’s “20/20″ in 2004.

In one of the most egregious examples of cheery picking/making up “facts” I ever recall seeing on a mainstream program, she claimed that it was “just a robbery gone horribly wrong,” “fueled by Meth anger,” [disputed by the main investigator] and, most absurd of all, it couldn’t have been motivated in ANY way by homophobia because some claimed that Shepard’s main killer was at least bisexual [which he denied]! This at the same time she contradicted herself by accusing Shepard of contributing to his own murder by making a pass at him [an initial claim made by the killers she could easily have discovered they quickly admitted they just made up].

SAAD er GLAAD whined a little bit at the time and then just went on their irrelevant, impotent way.

  11. Valerie says

Narcissists are noted for their negative, pessimistic, cynical, or gloomy outlook on life. Sarcasm seems to be a narcissistic specialty, not to mention spite. Lacking love and pleasure, they don’t have a good reason for anything they do and they think everyone else is just like them, except they’re honest and the rest of us are hypocrites. Nothing real is ever perfect enough to satisfy them, so are they are constantly complaining and criticizing — to the point of verbal abuse and insult.

  12. Jeff says

For many reasons I question why I ever moved to such an asswipe state. This is just one more.

I often wish I could kick my own ass for being such an ass.

  13. RB says

I am done….I cannot fight the republican party anymore! I am out. I have learned that there are more important things in life. While I am NOT a liberal and probably not going to register as a dem, I am leaving the LCR and the repub party.

This woman is clearly dillusional and I can see the light! BULL SHIT! That is what she is full of. I have had enough!

  14. David C says

More stupidity from the known liars at Media Matters?

Don’t you know better than that, Andy Towle?

However mistaken Rep. Foxx may be about the motives of Shepard’s murderers, there is nothing in the statement at the end of Media Matters little video that demonstrates she is mistaken.

Luring a gay man out with a story about being gay yourself would aid any criminal regardless of his motive and intended crime.

If your going to blog about “ugly things” said in the course of a debate over legislation, you need to back up your assertions with things more sensible than this bit of Media Matters nonsense.

  15. PM says

I don’t suppose there is a fund in existence for flying the lovely Judy Shepard to Congress, so that Virginia Foxx may share her valuable insights face-to-face?

  16. anon says

Judy Shepard already testified in Congress about this a few times.

Foxx knew the bill was going to pass, so she positioned her statements more for their effect back home than for effect on the “debate”. This is about Baptist $$$ raising.

  17. mark says

And there she is ladies and gentlemen – the poster cunt of everything morally and ethically wrong in the GOP. Don’t be afraid. Step right up. She’s as harmless as Lorena Bobbit…..

  18. Alex Parrish says

I was going to email her, but I doubt she can read or that she would comprehend my message.

If there is a God, this woman will burn in hell.

  19. scott says

I tried writing her an email but I kept getting so angry that I used infantile language. She is quite possibly on of the worst examples of a humanbeing I have even laid eyes on. I have relatives that live in Boone and I told them that as long as she is their representative I would not step foot in their town. My money would not go towards anything that she could benefit from.

  20. Enidguy says

This is what I wrote to her–

    Representative Foxx:
Before you refer to something as serious and sad as Matthew Shepard’s tragic murder as a “hoax” you should get your facts straight. If you do just a little bit of research you will learn how wrong you are and that you owe his family and the good people of this nation an apology. If you have a human heart beating in your chest you will do so. Then I would suggest doing some volunteer work for a gay and lesbian youth organization and calling the press to give you lots of coverage. Maybe, just maybe, at that point some people will forgive you. I don’t think I ever can.

  21. TyInTenn says

I read this – and was “blank” at first. Speechless. Had to read it again and one more time after. I couldn’t make myself listen to it. As a father of two, I can’t imagine reading/hearing this if it had happened to one of my children. “Russ” (up above) put it best – and thanks for posting her phone numbers. Hopefully, she’ll rot in the hot sun somewhere, someday.

  22. Tim says

This is what I emailed to her political site. I encourage you all to voice your opinion as well.

“Your comment on Matthew Shepard’s death having been a “hoax” is such outlandish behavior. I have no words to describe the pain I feel for for what you have ultimately put others through from your comment. I am very sorry for you as a person. There are many tears across America and the rest of the world because of you. Perhaps your judgement proves it is time for you to move along and be retired from civil service. What a hoax you are to humanity. What a shame.

  23. paul v. lutz says

I am a 52 year loyal registered Republican, straight-ticket voter (except once for JFK).
After hearing your stupid blast tonight on the Keith Olbermann program, I am leaving the GOP. I will not be part of an organization that has such a dolt in lead.

  24. paul v. lutz says

I am leaving the GOP after 52 years of loyal
straight ticket voting. I don’t want to be part of an organization with such a stupid leader. Shame on Virginia Foxx !!

  25. Reggie says

Keith Olbermann did cover this item. And he did NOT spare her one bit. He ripped her a new one, two, and three a-holes as only he can do. He even brought up the fact that her performance was done with Matthew’s Mother in the gallery. His response is definitely worth watching! He so put her in her place. Go Keith!

  26. bill says

If this wasn’t a hate crime then what is? Bigots with opinions like her “express” hate crimes by simply stating their hateful and deadly ideas…why is someone like this in the Congress?

  27. Kristoffer says

I left a message on her office voice mail saying how thankful I was not to be a resident of her state and how disrespectful I thought the comment was. I mentioned that I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt and requested a call back to hear why she said this murder was a hoax. Will see if she or someone in her office even bothers.

  28. Sue Gold says

Having lost a child myself I cannot imagine the feelings that were spinning in the mind of Mrs. Shepard. As usual the Republican Party is full of hate because they have nothing else to offer. I also laugh that these people (Foxx is Catholic) are supposedly so concerned for life and then talk like this. The only life they are concerned about is their own. Notice how the Republicans are “worrying about their children and grandchildren” when it comes to President Obama’s stimulus plan? Gee, I guess I must have missed their outrage during the Bush years and his out-of-control spending. Would somebody please wise me up?

  29. Sue Goldld says

Please RB! don’t give up! This is exactly what they want. For us to just go away. But we’ve spoken for hatred and change when we elected President Obama. I felt like giving up as well. But now I just compile the facts and hit them with it. Sure, sometimes they are so thick that you can never penetrate their small minds. At least now we have Foxx offering her “poor choice of word” apology. Is it enough? Will she change? Probably not. But at least she has to admit that the words she used was wrong. That’s what we are here for, RB. To give you support and love and together we can change this country.

  30. John says

Republicans can’t destroy themselves fast enough can they? Whatever happened to basic human decency, never mind love or kindness?
    Pathetic old woman.

  31. KK says

This is just as expected when bullshit rolls from the mouths of idiots. Election of those with this kind of deluded thought pattern just encourages and nurtures prejudice and ignorance.
