The one time I went to Dore Alley, maybe four years ago, my ex and I received insults for being too young (early 30s) and not bearish enough. Unlike Folsom Street Fair, it was a very unwelcoming atmosphere. I'd never go back.
As for Doug Berman, I'm starting to think he's a fake who posts asinine comments simply to get attention. Wouldn't be the first person to do so here.
