As an Episcopalian, I have to say that being in a denomination condemned by Pat Robertson warms the cockles of my heart.

There's something about T. R. Knight that's just so normal, so likeable. I'd take him above any of the steroid freaks or airbrushed pretty boys on display.

Re: Romania
That will last until they decide they want to be part of the European Union. The EU forbids that type of discrimination.

As a person of Romanian background, I'm disgusted but not at all surprised by the ban on gay marriage. They've been struggling to move forward, economically and socially, since the end of their horrible Cold War dictatorship. And now they focus their energies instead on anti-gay discimination... how sad. I hope the EU takes note.

Pat Robertson has it backwards. The breakaway dioceses and parishes that are aligning themselves with foreign bishops will not thrive in the long term, I believe. We've seen this before with the creation of Anglican churches in the late 70s in the wake of the new Prayer Book and ordination of a lesbian priest. They have largely faded away. A church based on what it's against instead of what it's for has a weak foundation.

Patti R., the feeling's mutual. Hate is always diminished by the light...Jeez! Don't you read a bible? Don't you go to Church?
