Boy George on Prison: 'I Had it Coming for a While'

Boygeorge

Boy George talked about bring sentenced to prison and his prison experience on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. Said George: "I had it coming for a while. It wasn't that big a surprise for me...I knew it was going to happen. I expected it to happen." He also talks about the gifts he received: a ghetto blaster from Elton John, teapots, a "chocolate willie", and gay porn magazines.

In part two he talks about his addictions, the song he wrote for Amy Winehouse, decorating his jail cell, and a new single coming out in December.

  1. For crying out loud...tell this poser his 15 minutes of fame were up over 20 years ago!

  2. George is really a very talented individual and continued to be involved in music over the past 25 years; he just wasn't very visible in the US for obvious reasons. It's sad that he hasn't been able to keep his vices in check though. (Or at least, keep them in check enough to stay out of trouble.)

  3. The most gay friendly thing on Jonathan Ross was Tim Minchin singing Five Poofs and Two Pianos

  7. I'm not buying his sobriety or his sudden self realization. He'll be back behind bars soon enough.

  8. He's very resourceful, milking his prison time for all its worth. I mean, what else can he do -- form a Culture Club Reunion Tour? But he is an interesting raconteur and I always like Jonathan Ross.

  9. You'd think a dude with his money would splurge a little and get a neck liposuction. Good fucking grief.....1500 bucks would get all that fat sucked out and he'd actually have a chin again.

  11. Culture Club already did a reunion tour, with Howard Jones and Human League around 1997. Pure magic! Sort of.
