Apologies for going off-thread but I’ve been meaning to post that that banner picture is absolutely stunning! Can you please do another one of your banner round-ups? Thanks.

Men and women don’t get along? How about women and women, and men and men? Nobody gets along…for the most part. Successful relationships (long term, not those three week/three month vacas that teh gays like to have with each other) are built on ignoring your partner’s “personality flaws” (which only grow and grow when the infatuation commits suicide) and annoying habits, and staying the fuck out of each other’s way for the most part. And lie, lie, lie, lie…lie when it’s inconvenient, because you can’t lie about the big stuff after a while, anyway…the stuff that invevitably causes the big fights. Relationships that work are built on a commitment to mutually assured deception. That’s gay, straight, or anything in between. In fact, that’s the key to happiness… But save it up, because then when you have your inevitable drag down and out fight, you’ll have the best ammunition to get it all out of your system.

But as to the video…Oy…talk about making the rounds with the stereotypical reductions…about women and gay men. The straight men seem to get a pass, largely, for some odd reason. As if they don’t drive their partners up a fuckin’ wall with their lame shit.

And don’t criticize the dion! You will pay and pay. She’s crazy, too…so she’ll cut ya.

My enthusiasm for Scott Herman keeps growing larger. And harder. (Just hearing him say his name with that gorgeous accent makes me swoon.)

He’s a beautiful guy, that’s for sure, on the inside and out.

He’s a smart straight jock. He’s an enthusiastic supporter of gay rights. And none of this seems like a struggle to him at all. We owe so much to our gay and lesbian pioneers of the past half-century or so for the struggle. It was worth it. Society is changing, and changing fast. The millenials are the most open and accepting generation for gay and lesbian equality.

I give Scott a ton of credit. And although I’m a born again cynic, but there’s not a doubt in my mind that his support is absolutely genuine and heart-felt. People like that make a real difference. Good for him. And won’t it be a great day when he’s not such an exception??
