  1. And people who believe that people who believe that they can rise from the dead, let's accommodate them......ooops, they're called Christians !

  2. and don't forget Schmuckabee's "views" on folks living with HIV:

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-wires/20071208/huckabee-aids/

Mike Huckabee once advocated isolating AIDS patients from the general public, opposed increased federal funding in the search for a cure and said homosexuality could "pose a dangerous public health risk."

As a candidate for a U.S. Senate seat in 1992, Huckabee answered 229 questions submitted to him by The Associated Press. Besides a quarantine, Huckabee suggested that Hollywood celebrities fund AIDS research from their own pockets, rather than federal health agencies.

Huckabee said Saturday that his comments came at a time when "the AIDS crisis was just that _ a crisis. We didn't know exactly all the details of how extensive it was going to be. There was just a real panic in this country. If I were making those same comments today, I might make them a little differently."

In 1992, Huckabee wrote, "If the federal government is truly serious about doing something with the AIDS virus, we need to take steps that would isolate the carriers of this plague."

  5. Lets not forget an important fact, his son was fired from working at a summer camp for hanging a stray dog. The man and his sons are pigs.

  6. patrick nyc: On top of that, Huckabee FIRED a state employee who refused to abide in a coverup of his son's behavior.

  8. and the mainstream National Media is delaying the report on this, why exactly?

Was there no time remaining after the clips of Papal denials?!

It's alarming to me that instead of becoming a pariah on TV, he likely will have a higher appearance fee instead... think Ann Coulter, a regular on NBC.

  9. So let me see if I can get this straight:

Huckabee said that his comments came at a time when "the AIDS CRISIS was just that _ a CRISIS....There was just a real panic in this country. If I were making those same comments today, I might make them a little differently."

    That's what he said? Right?

Meaning we have Presidential wannabee Mike Huckabee confessing, ON TAPE, that he PANICKED during a "crisis" and made a bad decisions using those remarks.

And, if elected, Panicky Mike wants it to be HIS finger on the Nuke Codes during the worst crisis imaginable?

Yeah. Right. When Lipstick-wearing Pigs Fly!

Hopefully, some smart Democratic Party Operator will see this contradiction too and run with it naion-wide: Huckabee's chances will be RUINED!

Mike Huckabee. On Tape. Confessing to Panicking. It just doesn't get better than that.

OH, BTW. I JUST LOVESSSS ME SOME MADDOW!

  10. @NEWJERSYGIRL "Huckabee's chances will be RUINED!" Ummm...I doubt it. He hates us f*gs, doesn't he? That gives him quite a substantial following in these here Disunited States without having to do much of anything. I mean, lots of people will vote for him on that basis alone.

  11. Seems like you have gays on the brain, Rachel. There are other issues, you know. Global warming. Islamic Terrorists. The economy. Iran.

Oh right. I get it. Those other issues aren't as sexy as gay marriage and it's harder for you to sound like a high road smartass with them. Never mind....

  12. Lol, kudos to the reporter for fighting back. Nice to see another dumb conservative with egg on their face. Also, Rachel is awesome :)

  13. Conservative Republicans are the KKK of our time. It is a shame. They go to hear Jesus' love on Sunday, and then preach hate on Monday through Saturday.

  14. I heart you, R Mad.

  15. Um, Dale, Rachel talks about all kinds of things on her show. The ones that are featured on Towleroad tend to have "gays on the brain" because--surprise!--this is a gay-themed blog. Why wouldn't she take on the virulently homophobic rantings of someone who may run for President (and lose) again?

  16. @ Dale, oooh burn. Except Ernie's enirely right. The website you're posting on has more gay on the brain than Rachel Maddow's show. Besides, ist definitley newsworthy when a national public figure claims he was misquoted by a young "inexperienced" journalist and then proven to be full of it. Poetic even.

  17. Umm, Polygamy is not 'lots of husbands' - that would be polyandry. I'm just sayin'...

  18. let's also not forget that there is a THIS HOUR HAS TWENTY TWO minutes episode in which rick mercer convinced Huckabee that Canada was building a functional replica of the white house made out of ice. seems Mike is a few points short of a functional IQ
