By being himself, he is trail-blazing.”

  1. I didn't listen to the show. But I wonder did Donna E. Milo get asked who she should be allowed to marry? Apparently it would not be "anyone I want because marriage is about creating a stable family unit". Since as a transexual she cannot bear children I wonder if she agrees that she should be prevented from marrying anyone? After all, that is one of the main criteria that bigots use to oppose marriage equality. Despite the fact that studies show that 25% of lesbian couples are raising children under 18 and need family stability.

  2. The Advocate is reporting that the "two men in Malawi" are actually a man and a self-identified transgender woman. Just thought I would clarify.

  4. Matty: Yes, the press makes it look like the Romanians did better than the Slovaks, but I'm not so sure.

A friend of mine took lots of pictures at the rally before the march, and she says it was peaceful and fun and the police mostly kept the thugs away. I guess parties went on as planned, even if the march through the center was canceled. She'll send photos to the Queer Leaders forum -- I hope they get up and covered!

500 participants vs 80 or so neonazis is not so bad! But the police should have been able to protect people along the route.

  5. I'd never heard of michael barrymore aside from the punchline of one of ricky gervais's jokes. He's the kind of gay that gives us all a bad. Comes out of the closet late in life while drunk, full of self loathing that he never quite gets a handle on, parties to excess while taking as many drugs and drinking as much as he can without a care in the world for anyone but himself...and then, when he sobers up and realizes he doesn't have a career anymore, finds another woman to settle down with. We don't need people like that, and I hope he goes back in the closet forever and ever.

  6. Alexander Skarsgard: so nice you can tell us twice?

  7. WHAT..???? Are you serious. Those are actually Donna E. Milo's views?
I'm really curious if she feels she is a woman now, and so it's legit for her to get married, but not us Gays, and her household would hold top rank over a Gay household for adoption, but the kids can go to the Gays only if there isn't a suitable Het-household...?

But dammit, she's happy for ENDA. Only because it just might include her..?
Newsflash Honey: I doubt it's going to include you! You're a political negotiation tool, and it took this long just to add the Gays!

I have no issues with our T friends. We're all in the same boat, and want the same things. I love all of our community, it's the same struggle.
But I do have an issue with this particular T. She's as dangerous to the LGBT community as any other Religious Conservative. She may not be as vile, but her views are still just as parrallel. I hope this womans "political career" is a total FAIL! She's not the representation any LGBT person needs in any capacity.

  8. Whoever Michael Barrymore is, from the sound of the comments from people familiar with his fame over there, it sounds like he's just grabbing at straws for a little more publicity. He doesn't sound like he amounts to much anyway.
