NJ Housewife Danielle Staub: 'I'm a Member of the Gay Community'

NJ Housewife Danielle Staub follows up her performance on Watch What Happens Live, after which she played coy with Andy Cohen about her relationship with collaborator Lori Michaels, with a chat with FOX411 expressing her devotion to the gay community.

Boasts Staub:

“I haven’t even begun my work in the gay community yet. I want to go to senate, I want to pass a bill and get gay marriage legalized. I go to events, I march in rallies. I’ve been a part of the gay community for 30 years....I met Lori a year ago at a gay pride parade. I fell in love with her music, which deals a lot with the issue of equality. It was very organic for me, that performance."

Despite her love for the gay community, she'd like to exploit potentially being gay as long as possibly to draw attention to herself:

"I want that question mark there. If I’m suggesting something, people pay attention. A long time ago, I realized the power of my fame and that my work on Bravo has given me a voice. Women are going to talk about me, why not use my fame for awareness...Since birth, my daughters have been a part of the gay community. From teachers to friends, these are the people they are surrounded by. I don’t feel as comfortable around mainstream society as I do around that community. I don’t feel as comfortable around heterosexual people as I do around gay people...When I got arrested, my dear friends like Tommy (who is gay) were the ones who bailed me out. Now he is Uncle Tommy to the girls.”

  1. It's nice to see someone follow in the footsteps of gay luminaries Aileen Wuornos, Jeffrey Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy and Amanda Bearse.

  5. Lets take back her card. She is beyond disgusting, I caught the show with the breast surgery, her fourth. She will do anything to exploit and cash in. 'ick' indeed.

  9. I'm not sure if I could possibly care any less about this woman, but I suppose (shudder) that any visibility is good---even if she's clearly just seeking attention and is a monstrous person.

  10. Why so much hate for this woman? Don't we all get enough hate from homophobes already? Do we have to pass it on to others? How toxic is that?

  11. yet she stood by and said nothing this past season when that crazy 'ex'-convict called the other family's son a faggot.

  15. Bravo must feel so lucky that they got this woman on the
"Housewives of New Jersey." Without her, there would have
    been no action.

Aside from that, she's so entertainingly sleazy.
"I've changed my life completely from my criminal past...
oh wait, here are my friends the ex-cons."

The line between fame and infamy has never been so thin.

  16. mrmagoo, thank you. Like all heterosexuals, she wants us to believe she is supportive of gay people because she says so meanwhile doing nothing.

  17. Thanks for running Dina off the show. She was the most gorgeous, sweet, and genuinely kind-hearted woman in entire Housewife history. Thanks, thanks a lot.
