  1. This is really great. While I appreciate celebrities talking to our youth, I really think REAL PEOPLE are much more compelling to our children. They can identify with these folks much easier than with a celebrity. Thanks Google employees.

  2. Awesome. I agree with Mark, real people are so much more useful than celebrities in reaching out. They're a lot easier to relate to.

    Plus, geeks are adorable.

  4. Love the shirt with two Android logo androids holding hands and waving a pride flag! Just after the two-minute mark.

  8. Guy in the Wisconsin shirt and the young couple made the biggest impact, I think.

  10. Really fantastic! This has got to be the best 'It Gets Better' video yet. It's heart-warming to see so many (esp. non-celebs) come together for LBGT youth.

  11. what a great video! i ALSO loved the t-shirts. my two favorite things in the world: gays & robots! although i am an iphone man, tried and true, it turns out the robot is actually an android and the mascot for google's android products. regardless, i ordered the t-shirt from google. after a LOT of searching i found the link here...

  13. Isn't it great to see a large multinational corporation actually put their name to something so important? It makes me want to buy a Google TV or an Android.

  16. I am proud of the Google employees for doing this. This is great for all of the geeky gay teens out there. It tells them that there's a place for them too out here.

Google as a company has been pretty progressive on LGBT rights as well. Back in 2008, they officially came out against prop8 in their blog:

"It is the chilling and discriminatory effect of the proposition on many of our employees that brings Google to publicly oppose Proposition 8... we see this fundamentally as an issue of equality. We hope that California voters will vote no on Proposition 8"
