Watch: Photographers Discuss Prize-winning Wildlife Photos

Ants

Last wee, Hungarian photographer Bence Máté was awarded the the 2010 Veolia Environnement wildlife photographer of the year prize, which is jointly owned by the Natural History Museum and BBC Wildlife Magazine, for his photograph of leaf-cutter ants in the Costa Rican rainforest.

You can check out the other winners here, but there's also a cool video interviewing some of the photographers discussing their photos.

Watch it, AFTER THE JUMP...

  2. Lovely picture of some hard-working ladies! Trying to work out whether these leaf-cutters are Atta or Acromyrmex, but I can't see the spines from this photo.

Why yes, I am a bug geek, how did you guess?!
