Watch: Kye Allums, First Transgender NCAA Division 1 Player, Speaks

On Tuesday I posted about Kye Allums, thought to be the NCAA Division 1's first publicly transgender player, debuts on the George Washington University women's basketball team.

"Yes, I am a male on a female team," Allums told a press conference this week.

  1. Courage is hot and that boy is adorable. Good for Kye and good for his team and school. With an attitude like that, he's going to be just fine.

  2. Kye is brave and is a role model & hero to transgender youths. Here in Portland Oregon there is an organization that supports transgender people who happen to be developmentally disabled, so it's nice to see that people who were formally unrecognized are now being supported. The LGBT community is all about inclusion and Conservatives are all about exclusivity. Anyone who is an LGBT Conservative can be compared to being a Jewish Nazi.

  3. Good for her, but I'm not sure that quotation cited would be embraced by a lot of transgender people.
