Watch: Christine O'Donnell Blames Criminal Probe on VP Joe Biden

UPDATED

Christine O'Donnell is the subject of a federal criminal probe into illegal use of campaign funds during her failed U.S. Senate run, the News Journal reports:

"The case, which has been assigned to two federal prosecutors and two FBI agents in Delaware, has not been sent to a grand jury...Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), the national ethics group, previously called O'Donnell's use of more than $7 million in donated funds 'Magic Money,' and repeated a claim that she had misused campaign resources for personal expenses, including household rent. 'Delaware Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell spent the 2010 campaign responding to nearly endless questions about her integrity, including allegations she had treated her campaign account like her personal piggy bank,' CREW said in summarizing its questions about O'Donnell's record."

O'Donnell appeared on Good Morning America today, where she blamed Vice President Joe Biden for the probe, and also the Today show, where she placed the blame for the probe on establishment Republicans who are after her.

  4. Christine O'Donnel is totally justified in spending that money. Newt eyes and frog toes are very expensive these days.

  7. You are right Tank but I think Endorra could, aren't her powers stonger than Serena and Samantha's ?

  8. The irony is typical of the Religious Right - they LIE to get what they want. And yet, if they claim any faith in the bible, they'd know that lying, bearing false witness, is a COMMANDMENT. you know. a Commandment. a direct one. a clear one. from "God."

how typical that she and her ilk focus only on random out-of-context pieces of scripture throughout the bible to harp on: (ie, gays and sex and gay sex and blah blah blah...) all the while they flagrantly disobey a Commandment.

    typical

  10. I have always felt that Christine O'Donnell is in way over her head. She is like the dog that has finally caught the car and then doesn't know what to do.

She does not have the ability to attract and keep her version of 'the best and the brightest' because smart politicos can see that her wagon is not worth being hitched to.

She also doesn't have the sense to go get a job.

If Ms. O'Donnell thinks she is being a victim of thug politics, she really is clue-free as to how she would have been treated in Washington, US Senator or not. Losing was the best thing for her, for Delaware and for the country.

  11. I think you mean:

"Calling Dr. Bombay, calling Dr. Bombay. Emergency! Come right away!"

  15. The true delusion here is that she thinks she's worthy of Joe Biden's attention, much less dirty tricks. She's got a long way to go before he notices that particular insect under his shoe.

  16. I think the same charges happened in the 90's after she first started her campaigning. She's been a perennial crank candidate for a long while.

  17. Christine O'Donnel: VICTIM!

    except for denying she did anything wrong, she did not answer ONE question she was asked;

    poor baby!

  18. She also looks like she's spending a lot of the money on food, definitely not the gym or slim fast.

  19. Where is Tabitha when she needs her?

  20. I truly hope the investigation is fruitful and multiplies. In the end, I think just punishment for her and her supporters would be to be burned at the stake. She's a crook and has profited a great deal as a political entertainer. I'd be interested to see a detailed forensic accounting of her campaign funds right down to the last penny.

  21. Wait a minute... she *admitted* to using campaign cash to pay for her rent, but the people who are saying she did that from her campaign are joining some 'conspiracy?'

This lady is batty. When she's convicted, I don't think they should lock her up -- I think they should get her help. She's as crazy as a bed bug.

  23. Christine O'Donnell is not a witch. But she is an idiot.

    Posted by: Ealan75 | Dec 30, 2010 7:05:36 PM

  24. I guess she couldn't use the Nixon line, "...I'm not a crook..." because, apparently, she is one...

Posted by: Robert In WeHo | Dec 30, 2010 8:33:14 PM

  25. She's a professional candidate....writing a book....starting a
PAC....keeping a campaign manager on the payroll....fundraising. She may be a whackjob on getting facts straight, but she knows how to work the system, just like Palin.
