Sarah Palin Expresses Support for Repeal of 'DADT' in Retweet
Sarah Palin raised a few eyebrows last week when she retweeted a tweet from conservative commentator and GOProud board member Tammy Bruce, which was the second part of a supportive tweet on 'DADT' repeal.
Bruce's preceding tweet said, "I'm focused on economic issues, and you may have noticed I was being quiet about DADT because that's not our most pressing issue..."
So, is Palin suggesting that John McCain and all the other vociferously homophobic GOP Senators have something to hide?
It's not Palin's first comment on the issue.
Back in February, when asked about 'DADT' repeal on Fox News Sunday, she said:
"I don’t think so right now. I’m surprised that the President spent time on that in his State of the Union speech when he spent only about 9 percent of his time in the State of the Union on national security issues. And I say that because there are other things to be worried about right now with the military. I think that...kind of on the back burner, is sufficient for now. To put so much time, and effort, and politics into it, unnecessary."
Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...

Hmm, the most backhanded support ever? Thanks, GOProud!
Palin can't even tweet her own thoughts. Surprise. She has no views other than those her aides write on her hands.

If trigger-happy Cheney has any care left at all for the Republican party, he'd get off his conservative ass, get his rifle and go to Alaska to hunt and mistake her for a moose in heat. "I didn't have time for a warning shot," he would explain later, "she headed straight for me with that...glint, that crazy look in her eyes and...and...I don't go for bestiality! It was self-defense!"

"Homos?" ugh, she annoys me!

Looks like she's finally realized her popularity is beginning to show some cracks.
Still an idiot though.

Yeah Tammy, the economy that Bush effed over for 8 years with 100% right wing ideology.
Another thing, wasn't some posters here saying the repeal of DADT is because of GOproud? How many more times do they have to say they didn't wasn't DADT to happen now?
For.chrissake.

Raise your hand if you're surprised that this attention-whoring twit is anti-DADT repeal? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller ...

Who cares?! Who cares what this woman says about anything? She's a dummy. If, as according to Justice Scalia, the government can make laws discriminating against women, then they should start with Sarah Palin. She how her sorry self deals with it. She'll have to tweet until her fingers bleed.
Does the USA she puts at the end of her name in her tweets stand for Uniquely Stupid Airhead?

I don't care what Sarah Palin thinks of the DADT policy (or lack thereof). She holds no office, and would have no power or sway over the American conscience if we didn't give it to her by lending her the publicity every time she makes a statement.

I love it that you libs follow everything Sarah Palin does, She's in your heads...LOL
So much fun :)

I hate her condescending and dehumanizing use of the word "homos." Go away Sarah, we don't need your "support."

First off, Sarah did not use the word "homos," Tammy Bruce did. Secondly, why WOULDN'T we want an ultra conservative voice supporting the repeal of DADT? Don't any of you people realize that we NEED the right to get what we deserve?
Also, GOProud and Sarah Palin NEVER SAID DADT should NOT be repealed. They simply said that the economy was more important right now. 10% unemployment (really closer to 17% when you factor in underemployment) and consistent job loss is the biggest problem facing us today. A policy that was put into place by Clinton 17 years ago could wait. Gays people in the military know what they signed up for, so there were no surprises. You can't necessairly make an argument of discrimination when you purposely walk into it. If I walk into a meeting run by Maggie Gallagher and waive the rainbow flag, I know I'm going to get thrown out. You make your bed, you lie in it.
With that said, I am thrilled that DADT was repealed. It is one of the few things Obama has done that I agree with. Look at the statements put out by gay conservatives...despite the focus on the economy, they are HAPPY that DADT was repealed in the correct way...a way that will not be successfully challenged, if at all. Even the most conservative politicians are letting it go at this point. If you all would just shut up about people who are "against" it, the issue will fade away and gays will serve in the military with no problem.

When people can interpret this to mean she's not anti-gay, she's not the only idiot involved.

I love the Tammy Bruce's and Sarah Palin's (and commenter BC's) of the world who seem to think that Congress CAN ONLY DO ONE THING AT A TIME. They, apparently, can't pass ANY laws that affect justice or safety until unemployment reaches a level acceptable to them.

homos under the bed? How do I order some? LOL

Retweeting something is not necessarily expressing an opinion.
Twitter is crap. People should abandon it.

I'm having trouble deciding who is more disgusting and revolting, Tammy Bruce or Sarah Palin. They both hit the top register of the "yuck" scale.

Never said congress can only do one thing at a time. The democratic leaders in congress have said they can only do one thing at a time (remember Health Care? Everything else was on a back burner for months, including allowing congressmen to go home to their families). However, last year Congress could have done a repeal of DADT right? I mean they've had the majority of both houses for years AND in January of 2009 they had the President. So it could have been passed immediately. So...why now? Why would they decide to pass it now? Let's see, they just lost the majority of the House. They know gays are pissed. So in preparation for the 2012 elections, they can say "Look, we repealed DADT!! Give us your money again." Then, they will forget about us again until they need our money.
