Christine O’Donnell Asked to be on ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Odonnell

Oh, jeez.

Writes the former witch: "I just got the Official 'Ask' from Dancing With The Stars !! Although I am utterly flattered, my initial thought was to decline, as 2 year old nephew has more rhythm than me, and my two left feet!! However Eileen thinks i should do it. What do you think?"

As an unfortunate resident of Texas, I say yes. Then i would have an opportunity to officially vote against her. Nothing would give me more pleasure… Well, almost nothing.

Casting like this is one of the reasons I watch So You Think You Can Dance…well, this and the uncomplicated, non-political beautiful bodies of the dancers.

  3. nick says

Notables is the more proper term than “stars” and casting this vacuous woman is another reason not to watch this insipid piece of “entertainment”.

  4. qjersey says

She’s such a dipshit. Now that she has leaked the offer, they will retract it. DWTS is all about keeping us guessing until the cast is announced.

  5. BartB says

Another reason not to watch this show. I think a lot of people will be turned off by this…most people know her only vaguely and most think she’s an idiot.

But of course she’s going to do it. She needs the money for her defense after they come after her for campaign finance fraud. Bottom line, it’s a pay check.

Has anyone noticed how this TV show is really giving these right wing nuts free TV time? De Lay, Palin ,Tucker Carlson and now trying to recruit O’Donnell. Are these producers trying to make these hard core Republicans marketable? Why not ask Ann Coulter next.

These producers want the gay community to watch the show while bringing some of the most extreme Republicans on their show.

Isn’t it about time we called them on it? I’m sure they will deny it but there is a difference between pro-gay celebrities
    and political anti-gay Republicans.

And hasn’t one of the judges (Len) made some off the cuff anti-gay remarks? Thank goodness for Bruno.

Maybe it is time we stop watching this show.

  7. Steve says

I stopped watching this stupid show 2 years ago. Any show that has Tom Delay on it belongs on my blocked channel list, along with Fox News.

  8. Charlie-o says

The second time I saw Sarah Palin, I turned off Dancing With the Stars and never watched it again. (I’m actually kind of ashamed of having watched it the first place.) But yeah, every year they have an extreme right-wing contestant and try to make them seem likable. This year, they’re giving a makeover to a really detestable homophobe, Christine O’Donnell.

  9. sidelines says

This is another example of how Famous Republican Women seem more concerned with money and fame than with their own rights.

  10. walter says

if this doesn’t work out maybe she could get the part of one of the witches in a remake of
    macbeth or wicked.

“Tea Party favourite Christine O’Donnell has confirmed she has been invited to be a contestant on TV’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
But the defeated Senate candidate from Delaware is unsure over whether she should accept, claims she has two left feet and a book about politics to complete.
The conservative Republican, who lost to a Democrat after details of her dabbling in witchcraft emerged during her campaign, has asked supporters on her Facebook page if she should take part.
O’Donnell has said her initial reaction was to turn down organisers of the show, but she was now having second thoughts.
On her Facebook page she wrote: ‘Facebook Exclusive: I just got the official ‘Ask’ from Dancing With The Stars!
‘Although I am utterly flattered, my initial thought was to decline, as two-year-old nephew has more rhythm than me, and my two left feet!’
She added: ‘The Facebook comments about Dancing w The Stars list great pros and cons. Thank you for your input. Still undecided.'”
