Watch: Mike Huckabee Thinks He Knows What's Going on in Your Bedroom

Sex_huckabee

Mike Huckabee talked about Obama's DOMA announcement with FOX News, again trying to connect same-sex marriage to broken homes, and alluding to the 'ick' factor of gay sex.

HUCKABEE: Two-thirds of the children in America who are in poverty would not be in poverty if the mothers of those children were married to the fathers of those children.

NAPALITANO: But none of that has anything to do with allowing the same sex couple down the block to live together and to be married. Question: Do conservatives care about the couple down the block?

HUCKABEE: Yes they do.

NAPALITANO: Why?

HUCKABEE: Not that they care…

NAPALITANO: Why do they want to get in their bedroom?

HUCKABEE: No, no, no. They don’t want to get in their bedroom. They definitely don’t want to get in their bedroom. They don’t want to see what’s going on in that bedroom!

Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...

  1. Trust me Huckabee we don't want you near any of our bedrooms so stop pestering us and focus on jobs.

  2. Huckabee is a moron of the common Sarah Palin variety and this proves it. Any moron who votes for this tongues-speaking, snake wagging con man deserves whatever this little pocket-Hitler dishes out. Just another reason to drop your damn bibles and step away from the religion.

  3. Huckabee is a pervert.

  4. Notice how he never answers any of the questions. Napalitano should have kept asking him, "Why do conservatives care about the gay couple that live down the block? What do they have to do with single-mothers in poverty?" and finally, "What is your rational legal reason for denying gay couples the secular civil right of marriage?"

  5. Francis is right. Huck is big ol' Perv!

  6. Like anyone would want to see you flopping on top of your walrus of a wife. Stupid old man.

Good for Napolitano for bringing up the stupidity of his argument.

  7. Again with this lie about straight married parents equaling perfection. As if all husband/fathers are employed and make enough to keep a family out of poverty. Lies.

And I take it Huckabee DOES want to see what goes on in the bedrooms of straight couples.

  8. Color me stupid, but I think that's exactly what he wants.

  9. why do these bigots always make the assumption that if you stop gays from marrying they will somehow enter into hetero relationships and create more hetero, two parent families?

  10. "They don’t want to see what’s going on in that bedroom."

Then why are they experts on what's going on in THAT bedroom? Why are they obsessed with it? Why is it family dinner conversation? Why is it their only reason to live? Why does homosex obsession take priority over spending time with their own family?

  11. @Scott, well put.

  12. Yeah, Huckabee is a fool, but he's a dangerous fool. The man is very charismatic and well-liked. He's more articulate than Sarah Palin and the social conservatives adore him. Out of all the social conservatives, this man is the most threatening to Obama's re-election. Newt's got too many skeletons in his closet, Palin is yesterday's star, Romney is too slimey feeling and Bachmann has too much crazy in her eyes. Huckabee is the social conservative "regular guy" to watch out for.

Having said that, I think Obama will get re-elected fairly easily, but if someone DOES unseat him, it might be this guy.

  13. His response is as if he's had first hand experience of what happens in 'those' bedrooms.

  14. This man is a horse's ass, plain and simple.

I'm damn sick and tired of these religious wing-nuts and their obsession with what gay people do in their bedrooms, or in any other part of their lives. They think we're icky, and want to stamp us out.

Ya know, that works both ways. I think they're icky. Therefore, I want to outlaw heterosexuality.

    Take that, Mr. No-think.

  15. Yeah Mike get out of our bedrooms. Also if you're going to say you "care", try not to have a snide vindective remark in the next sentence... Unless there are a TON of people in this country that hate us so much they will vote for you because you made a snide remark about us, in that case go ahead. But how about remembering we were people that were exclusively attracted to either men or women, and that's why we either have a man or women in our beds. Important facts.

  16. Okay, this one is a funny "haha-look-at-the-bigot" clip.

But the more telling quote from Huckabee comes later in the interview. In objecting to having same-sex marriages, Huckabee says (paraphrasing), "if you want to call it a civil union, that's a legitimate argument".

Not exactly coming out in FAVOR or civil unions, but see how far the bar has moved in just a few years.

    We're winning.

  17. Oh, yeah... The link to the rest of the interview... quote comes at about 3:45.

  18. anybody guess what's going on in his kitchen?

  19. I don't want to be in the room with him while they put his makeup on. I'm guessing it takes at least an hour to paint those eyebrows. #bigotswhowearmakeup.

  20. Of all the disgusting lies the right has told attempting to assign blame to gays for the ills of their massive heterosexual society, accusing GLBT citizens that comprise a mere 3-5% of the US population of causing deadbeat dads, broken homes and poverty is the most appallingly delusional lie ever. Hateful breeders always playing blame the gays—for everything.

  21. I just noticed my comment referring to the ick factor was removed. We need to own our sex, and if they refer to the ick factor, address it head on.
