Glenn Beck to ‘Transition Off’ His Daily FOX News Program

Glenn Beck will "transition off" his daily show on FOX News, it was announced earlier today:

Beck "FOX News and Mercury Radio Arts, Glenn Beck’s production company, are proud to announce that they will work together to develop and produce a variety of television projects for air on the FOX News Channel (FNC) as well as content for other platforms including FOX News' digital properties. Glenn intends to transition off of his daily program, the third highest rated in all of cable news, later this year. Roger Ailes, Chairman and CEO of FOX News said, 'Glenn Beck is a powerful communicator, a creative entrepreneur and a true success by anybody’s standards. I look forward to continuing to work with him.'"

  1. Kenny says

Gee wilickers this is super swell.Thats all this extremist bigoted lunatic needs is MORE airtime.

A true success? LMFAO more like a failure in more ways then one especially as a DECENT human being which he constantly fails at being.

  2. says

Here, Glenn, allow me to blow smoke up your ass – yes, the ass that I just FIRED.

But hey, this is Faux news. Up is down, and black is white.

Buh-bye, Glenn. The airwaves will be better (if a little less interesting) with you.

  3. Rob says

Yes, please transition into obscurity ASAP. Can’t wait to see what outstanding “news personality” Ailes next puts on Faux Noise in Beck’s time slot.

  4. reality 101 says

Do not get so excited folks – they are going to have an endless run of Propaganda Programs and I am sure Glen will be a frequent guest.

  5. Randy says

For someone who has lost 30% of his audience in the last 4 months, does not a sucess make. Sorry, but he won’t be missed, except for those extreme bigots who are easily brainwashed and can not think for themselves.

  6. says

Well, my gut feeling is this change is taking place because he’s been taken over in ratings by Alex Jones, and wasn’t successful at capturing the Tea Party reigns, with Sarah Palin, from the real movement founders…Alex Jones and Ron Paul! He was basically plagiarizing the Alex Jones Show, just adding his own deceptive twist to it, and many people either didn’t understand it…or in the case of the real Tea Party fundamentalists who actually do their “alternative” homework, wasn’t able to capture their hearts because they were able to immediately tell when he started to steer clear from going all the way and totally exposing the truth about the New World Order and it’s true handlers…typical FOX News style. Even Billary recently exclaimed, the American media is “losing the info-war to alternative media” and Glenn Beck is a microcosm of why this is happening.

  7. says

This is a funny clip from the Glenn Beck show earlier this week, responding to the claim by the White House that opponents of health care are spreading “mis-leading” information over the internet: I can’t wait for new polling data to come out, because I’m pretty sure this White House propaganda attempt, along with the outrageous accusations on the authenticity of the town hall protests, is going to backfire on.

Cable programs have over-all VERY low viewer-ship. A.C. 360 frequently rated fewer than 1 million viewers [this out of a country of 310 million!], and even O’Reilly who has the best cable news talk ratings averages around 3 million.

Radio can offer far greater number of listeners by comparison, and Beck’s radio program is doing fine.

  9. ratbastard says

Another high negative Beck has [at least among many evangelical Christians, especially in the south and west] is he’s a Mormon.

Conversely, his born-again preacher lecturing to an AA group turns A LOT of people off.

  10. ted says

Beck has not only not been struck down, he is simply shedding the cocoon of the daily tv show for more effective outreaches. Since none of you actually watch him, and you have no idea what he is saying, you won’t miss him. But van Jones was not fired for no reason. 800K people showed up at the Mall for some reason. Soros is in deep trouble now.

  11. Montana says

Someone should question Glenn Beck if this was a sign from GOD or just stuff that happens.

When I was a kid I lived in Utah, and the Boy Scouts was taken over by Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS Church). This, so called religion, practices underage polygamy, they send the boys off on missions to divide the underage sisters among the dirty old men of the clan. Now when these underage girls get pregnant, these same dirty old men, send them to the state to get their welfare checks . You should see some of the palace homes that are paid with welfare checks (not on just one of course). By the way this is the newest religion that was made right here in United States of America, I guess their also in AZ, CA, NM, TX, NV, CO, OK.

Glenn Beck’s comments on Japan as being a sign from GOD is trash talk, kicking them when they are down, would he say the same if a terrible thing happened to himself or his family? When someone hides behind religion to do or say something we know is wrong we should stand up and point it out (right the Wrong).

WAPO Dana Millibank is a dick. He’s a shill, and the fact he’s shilling inaccurate and distorted government and corporate economic statistics is proof enough for me.

As for Beck’s being anti-Jewish [Semitic refers to Arabs in addition to Jews OF MIDDLE EAST origin, and strictly speaking NOT Jews of European origin] , I AM NOT anti-Semitic nor anti-Jewish, but we have a problem if people [public and private] can’t legitimately question Zionism, Israeli government actions, our relationship with Israel, the duplicitous actions of well known individuals who may happen to be also Jewish, etc., without being called racist, bigoted, etc., There are facts [such as George Soros VERY SLEAZY background and history during and after the Holocaust] that are undeniable. And if some people, including G. Edward Griffin and Alex Jones, are connecting the fraudulent Protocols of Zion with legitimate facts about some well known, influential public people who’re Jewish, then I’d seriously question the sincerity of people like G. Edward Griffin and A. Jones. It sounds they aren’t what they appear to be, and they’re deliberately trying to discredit those with legitimate concerns and opinions. Of course, the world is full of duplicitous professional shills, including posters on this site.
