  1. Julianne Moore has such an iconic face; she's still recognizable, but there's no mistaking who she's playing. I hope she can do justice to the voice.

  4. Though she is not eligible for an Oscar for this one, there has to be one for her well deserved work. Favorite still is Far From Heaven and The Hours.

  5. @Michael in Toronto, +100 I'll still see it though.

  6. Thanks, Julianne-gunning- for-an-Emmy-in-2012, we have to put up with this woman for that much longer.

  7. I imagine Nicole Kidman was hoping for an Emmy in 2012, also. I guess this is payback for her Oscar from The Hours.

  9. JOEL: Me too.

As for Oscar, she should have won for FAR FROM HEAVEN, an absolutely luminous performance, but lost to that damn fake nose.

As for KIdman, I saw RABBIT HOLE on the weekend, and she really was good -- but I can't get past the trout mouth.

  10. Wow! And yeah she should have won for "Far From Heaven" a wonderful movie that is ten times better than the over rated "The Hours"

  11. I think that the biggest crime in all of Awardsland is that Julianne, easily one of, if not THE best, living actress has still not won a single Oscar while other MUCH LESS deserving "actresses" have.

Safe...Boogie Nights...Far From Heaven...hell, she's even spellbinding in genre films like The Forgotten and Blindness.

  12. DAVINCISMETANA: There's actually a good chance Kidman will be up for an Emmy in 2012. She's doing 'Hemingway & Gellhorn,' another prestige project for HBO. However, I read 'Game Change' & Palin was a supporting character in that one, so I think Moore & Kidman will be in separate categories. Love them both.

  13. HDU someotherkevin! Meryl Streep and Angela Bassett beg to differ.

  14. Ummm... what does Nicole Kidman have to do with *any* of this?

  15. That's a good rendering of Sara Palin's face but Sara Palin's body is actually wider .... much wider. :-)

  16. Love Julianne Moore... but Tina Fey has the marked cornered on doing Sarah Palin!
