  1. The guy with the 78 sq. foot apt has to be putting on an act to get name and homemade furniture/art business out on the web. No one would pay $800 a month for that. He's either putting us on or a complete idiot.

  4. LZ Granderson is an Uncle Tom.

  5. LZ Granderson is just another overpaid idiot talking head who doesn't have a clue what he's talking about (and doing quite a bit of damage to our civil rights movement in the process). Where does CNN get these people? If you ever saw Wolf Blitzer on Jeopardy you understand what complete morons pass as journalists today...oh, and with Roland Martin they have the trifecta of stupid. More Don Lemon and less of these idiots please.

  6. Why am not surprised that the Lawrence case kid came from an abusive household?

Why am I not surprised that this wasn't made a post but instead a news feed with Jake Gyllenhaal-urgh-with a photo?

    Sad.

  7. if the equality matters link about anoka-hennepin is accurate, this Granderson is an idiot. right now lgbt kids there are being bullied with no recourse to intervention by authority figures, no defense, no justice. i regard the policy as an invitation to a columbine-like last-ditch desperate response in lieu of suicide; sure hope Granderson's kids are not around if/when that happens.

  8. "Liza Minnelli looks spectacular..."

    Doesn't she always?

  9. @Fernlaplante You must not live in New York or anywhere near it or you would know that that story is entirely believable. When anyone from outside the Metro area sees what $3000 a month gets them in Manhattan, they either laugh, thinking it is a joke, or cry, wondering what the hell they have gotten themselves into by moving there.......

  13. Kudos to the board of parole in Texas. The utter brutality of Paul Broussard's murder justifies keeping Buice in prison for as long as his sentence runs. At least we know that some people are not afraid of Ray Hill and know how to take him on. Good for them.

  15. Never understand how highly paid movie actresses who have earned millions can end up poor. What DO they spend their cash on?

Liza looks amazing, I want to know who does her snipwork cause when I'm 65 I want the same Dr. or at least the same Photoshop artist. She looks 35 again!

And yes, she's looked pretty bad in the past, doesn't anyone remember how old and dowdy she looked in Arrested Development? Funny, yes, but way dowdy. And she looked puffy and odd when Kathy Griffin featured her on D-List, ala Manilow's marshmallow cheeks.

  16. @Rick I have been to NYC numerous times. I know that apartments are small but I also feel that this guy is simply doing it for publicity for himself. There are plenty of apts in NYC that aren't pretend converted closets with a shared bathroom. If this isn't real, then you fell for it. If it is then this kid is the cities biggest dolt.

  17. Mark Morford's article from the San Francisco Chronicle was just what I needed after reading about the vile lies of John Boehner and the attorney defending DOMA. His rapturous paean to the first gay marriages in New York has made me cry like nothing I have seen in a long while.

There's an old movie in which a male character asks a female why she is crying. The young Japanese woman says, "I cry for happy." Me too.
