    Never have understood the French attraction to hard, crusty bread. It is fine for dipping in soup (its original purpose), but awful for making sandwiches or for any other purpose.

    Ah these machines will be the end of me and any social life, nothing like a warm fresh French Baguette. Especially at 12am while watching Golden Girls.

    To the person says that French bread is for dipping into food: wrong. Pain is a national obsession. These machines are for Sunday when their beloved bread is unavailable.
