NASA Detects Evidence Suggesting Water Flows on Mars: VIDEO

Mars

The Mars Reconnaisance Orbiter has found evidence that suggests salty streams of seasonal water flow on the surface of Mars.

The NYT reports:

High-resolution photographs taken by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, which arrived at Mars in 2006, show fingerlike streaks up to five yards wide that appear on some steep slopes in the late Martian spring. These streaks grow and shift through summer as temperatures warm, reaching hundreds of yards in length before they fade in winter. One crater had about 1,000 streaks.

But finding streaks is not the same as finding actual water. An instrument on the Mars orbiter capable of detecting water has not, in fact, found any, but that may just mean that the amount of water in the flows is too little to be seen from orbit.

  2. Wow, water on Mars, really? Do you mean kinda like what...Billy Meier first published in 1976 (with more in 1987), which can be found in an article titled "Will Humanity Wake Up..in Time?" at my website.!

Heck, one day we may discover that there really are space curvatures (search that term and you'll find the article on my website) that are the opposite of black holes...as Meier reported in 1986.

Maybe it's not such a bad idea to get some scientific and astronomical information from someone who's...been there.

  3. Wow, Michael, you've been to Mars? Cool.

I'm glad my fingers aren't 15 feet wide.

  6. Fanciful, at best. Seems to me a computer analysis of the changes over time would put an end to the speculation. But I guess its more fun to eyeball it and make up a story.
