Here’s one of Barrowman’s great performances of “I Am What I Am.” [Yes, he performed the part in a production of “La Cage aux Folles” in London.]

AND: the scene from the “Torchwood” series even more memorable than those in which he was naked and having gay sex. It stands on its own, but without entirely spoiling the plot, let’s just said he’s even more moving if you know the context of the man he’s with.

No, he’s no Pavarotti or Pacino, but a very good all around performer whose courage in risking his career by being not just out but also regularly publicly celebrating being gay [vs. a certain someone else who claims he “never talks about his private life” when, in fact, he’s written a book about it—except for being gay] is to be applauded.

I’m always disappointed by gay people who are unaware of openly gay actors – especially gay actors who promote their own gay community. Participate – get to know your world because you live in it.

One thing I love about John is how in the documentary he did, when sitting and talking with his parents he reverts back into his HEAVY Scottish accent. SO adorable!!!! :-)

    Such a lovely vantage.

It makes me want to dive in face-first and just start sucking wherever my lips happen to land. In their bed, there isn’t a chance in Hell that I’d be displeased with the result.
