Gay Former NYT Critic Battles Colombia Over Adoption: VIDEO


Chandler Burr, an author and former critic for the New York Times, is battling the Colombian government after his adoption of two boys was abruptly halted once authorities learned that he was gay.

  4. I'm sure he regrets it now, but it was he who volunteered the information about being gay. They did not ask him about it.

  5. Regardless of if he volunteered the information or not, this is ugly discrimination. Hopefully the US can get involved to make sure this man is reunited with his adopted sons.

  6. I learned a long time ago not to volunteer anything beyond what is asked. Perhaps growing up with lawyers is the reason.
