Jon Huntsman Drops Out of Presidential Race: VIDEO

Presser_huntsman

As I mentioned earlier, Jon Huntsman held a press conference earlier today announcing that he is dropping out of the GOP race for President. Huntsman endorsed Mitt Romney and had sharp words about the tone the campaign has taken.

Said Huntsman: "This race has degenerated into an onslaught of negative and personal attacks not worthy of the American people and not worthy of this critical time in our nation's history..."

Huntsman also accused Obama of engaging in "class warfare".

  1. he lost me at "class warfare"

as every intellectually honest brain knows, the class warfare has been going on forever. we're only now starting to collectively fight back.

  2. Any republican who says the words "class warfare" should be dragged out of their house in the middle of the night by the poor and eaten.

  3. One clown down, one more to go. If anyone invented class warfare, it's the GOP, rife with it. Income disparity in this country is at an all time high. When you have a wealthy 1% who pay lower taxes or none at all while the middle class pay more, then what can one expect?

  4. "This race has degenerated into an onslaught of negative and personal attacks not worthy of the American people and not worthy of this critical time in our nation's history..."

This is something new? And coming from a Republican it's even more hypocritical and laughable. Perhaps it's more that this time it's both coming from, and being focused on, Republicans?

  6. It's always lovely to see just how hypocritical politicians can be. Huntsman can sit here and rail against negative campaign tactics all he wants, but he used them just as much as any other candidate while he was in the race. Ugh.

And Obama engaging in class warfare? Only in the parallel universe Conservatives have created could someone whose Administration is *very* friendly to Wall Street be engaged in class warfare against the wealthy.

  7. Class warfare?

Guess I was wrong about Jon Huntsman, he's an idiot like all the other GOP candidates.

Hmm, which party doesn't want to raise taxes on the rich but wouldn't mind seeing the payroll tax cut on the middle class expire?

  9. He lost his brain at class warfare, funny how when Warren Buffett wants higher taxes Republicans tell him he can pay all they want, but they want to hoard all their money, any attempt to make them pay 4% more is class warfare despite the fact that the middle class has been hollowed out due to rising healthcare, education, and other costs. This was the most "Sane" (used loosely) candidate in the field but instead of going the sane route he decided to pick up the insane republican line to nowhere.
