Will George Takei and Clay Aiken Speak Out Against Homophobe Donald Trump as 'Celebrity Apprentice' Cast Members? VIDEO

NBC has confirmed the cast of Celebrity Apprentice, which premieres February 12, Reality Blurred reports. I mentioned back in October that Clay Aiken and George Takei were reportedly cast. That has now been confirmed.

“The men are: late-night legend Arsenio Hall, pop star Clay Aiken, radio host Adam Carolla, the ‘Incredible Hulk’ Lou Ferrigno, magician/comedian Penn Jillette, rock star Dee Snider, actor George Takei, IndyCar legend Michael Andretti, and star of ‘American Chopper,’ Paul Teutul, Sr.

The women are: supermodel Cheryl Tiegs, pop star Debbie Gibson, actress and multi-Grammy winner Tia Carrere, author and reality star Victoria Gotti, comedienne Lisa Lampanelli, former Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza, singer and actress Aubrey O’Day, actress and model Patricia Velasquez, and star of ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey,’ Teresa Giudice.”

  2. Answering the question in the title of your post: No.
Have you ever seen the show? It's an endless parade of kissing "Mr. Trump's" ass. There will be no confrontations over homophobia —at least not over Trump's.

  3. Two prominent Gays (Aiken and Takei) vs two prominent homophobes (Trump and Carolla? I'm backing Team Q :)

  4. I refuse to watch this anus-mouthed homophobe. Why ANY gay person would give this prick a rating by watching is beyond me. I can't stand the sight of the 'thing'.

  5. Wait, Arsenio Hall is gay too isn't he, or is he still in the closet?

  6. Come on. No person in Trump's position is a homophobe. He has gay aides all over the place. If he was a homophobe it would be stripes and plaids and lawn chairs in the office. ANd kissing his butt is part of the show - except it's not like Wrestling - that is real.

  7. Clay is going to represent very well. I seen some of the taping and he does us proud.

  8. If I were Clay or George I'd be playing for a pro-equality charity. That way if they ever win Trump will be writing a check to said charity and it would forever haunt him in any political future.

  9. @Ted: I suggest you read a bit about things that Trump has said.

  10. Having gay staffers doesn't mean one isn't a homophobe, Ted. Hell, half of the most incredilby anti-gay politicians out there have gay staffers, many of whom are even at least kind-of-sort-of out. Let's not forget one of Rick Perry's chief campaign guys was gay, and one of Rick Santorum -- Senator Frothy -- had a very, very prominent staffer who was gay.

Being willing to use gay people is different than accepting of their orientation. There are plenty of homophobes out there who are more than happy to be on friendly terms with gay people, so long as we keep all that gay stuff to ourselves, like acknowledging we're gay in the first place.

Heck, that's pretty much the modus operendi of the anti-gay 'movement' -- that they just want us to go back to the days when we kept all our 'icky gay stuff' behind closed doors, like having pictures of our boyfriends at the office. Remember, they "love the sinner, hate the sin." They want our friendship and work ethic, they just want us to stop being gay in public (and better if we don't have sex at all, though they'll at least be content with the former).

  11. As long as the editing is in Trump's control (and it is), there will be zero footage putting Trump in a bad light.

If Trump takes shots at gay issues, and Takei and Aiken (and even Jillette) think they will be accorded a fair response, they are terribly mistaken. It's Trump's show and Trump will always win.

  12. Truthfully, I'd expect more anti-homophobia smack talk from Jillette and Lampanelli. Not that any of it would make it to air with Trump himself as EP.

  13. Lisa Lampanelli is not anti-gay...

She's given quite a bit if money to pro equality organizations...shes an ally..albeit an incredibly foul mouthed hilarious one ;)

  14. I totally read that wrong...i concur with Jerry :D

  15. Good god, where did they find that nasally interviewer?

  16. Abie's question "Have you ever seen the show?"

The answer is "no", and I don't expect that I ever will.

  17. Lisa the cow is not funny in the least. How she has a career is beyond me. Being loud and rude passes for funny in this country. Anybody that can be on that show has sold their soul to the devil. I'd love it if somebody spit on the old man and then jumped over the table with a bowie knife and slit the throat of his pompous pasty faced no neck monster of a son. One for the elephants, (and lions and tigers and bears).
