Justin Timberlake on Grooming Rituals and Regrets
Justin Timberlake offers his grooming rituals to Details:
"I don't like when I see guys do too much hair gel. I don't mean Pauly D—because that's basically performance art. But when you use enough hair gel that your hair becomes a sculpture—and you wanted it to look that way? It's just weird...There were many moments in my teenage years where I succumbed to, um, the weirdness of the group I was in. And in trying to conform—we're marionettes!— I ended up looking like a moron."

Does anyone even use hair gel nowadays? I thought people had moved on to wax etc.

"The weirdness of the group I was in." Amen to that. But I kind of liked him with curly hair. Or at least my early high school self did. I remember I was shocked when he buzzed it.

He looks good in any hair.

I prefer Darren Criss' advice which is use a little gel and spit or sweat to redo when needed.

Timberlake has animal magnetism. Some guys just have it, and he's got it. On the other hand, Justin Bieber doesn't have it.

Call me perverted, but I find the words 'Justin Timberlake' & 'grooming rituals' oddly arousing when used in the same sentence ...
