  1. Not buying it.

  2. Nah.... upper lip is far too full (collagen) and Liz had a smallish, heart-shaped face whereas Lohan's face is square/blocky. They need to bring her hairline down to a V in the middle.

We'll see if the acting can pull it together...

  3. She looks like a slouchy Ava Gardner.

  4. No way.

  5. Joan Crawford maybe, Liz, no - the makeup people don't have a clue what they're doing.

  6. I see a casting director that needs to look for a different line of work.

  7. Didn't Taylor have black or very dark brown hair? I don't recall seeing her with brown hair.

As for Lohan, congratulations to her for getting her life together.

This is a movie for LIFETIME TV. Folks, why so harsh about a TV movie?

  8. Jesus, who would hire that train wreck for anything outside of a local TV commercial?

  10. as much as one might want to give Lindsay Lohan a break...
this unfortunate and ruinous casting seems not the break she's in need of.

  11. Not ever.

  12. Gorgeous but she doesn't even remotely resemble Elizabeth Taylor.

  13. At one time, Lohan had a soft feminine-looking face. It seems like she's had some sort of procedure perhaps that has hardened the features or altered them, and not in a good way.

  14. Yeah, she does look more Crawfordesque here, but it's a good shot nonetheless (and, really, who will ever look as stunning as Elizabeth Taylor without the help of serious cosmetic surgery?).
It's too bad Lohan was picked -- she is unable to compare with Miss Taylor in all kinds of ways.

  15. Dlisted had a picture of an actress, I can't recall but she was younger than Lohan, and she was the splitting image of Elizabeth Taylor. Of course that actress is doing feature films and not Lifetime.

I think it was the Olsen sisters youngest sister dressed up as Liz. It was amazing the resemblance. Of course we're talking National Velvet and Lohan has started at Virginia Woolf and no younger.

  16. She looks beautiful. Happy to see her getting her life back on track and hope this movie is a success.

  17. Oh this is gonna be good. Finally, we're going to have a new Lindsay Lohan movie to quote! Weee!

  18. Um... no.

She has that snap-me-like-a-twig look. Elizabeth Taylor looked sturdy.

And yes, Taylor's hair was black. Not twig brown.

  19. As if my opinion counts, I vote no.

  21. Joan Crawford maybe, Liz, no - the makeup people don't have a clue what they're doing.

    I agree - I saw/see Joan Crawford

  22. She looks exactly like Joan Collins and not a bit like Liz. That's just so perrrrrrfect.

  23. I still can't believe this is happening -- such a travesty.

  24. Even if it is "only" Lifetime, we're still talking about a project that's likely to cost a couple of million to produce. With all the amazingly talented makeup and costume professionals out there, how did the producers manage to hire people who seem never to have seen a photo of Taylor? Seriously, brown hair? Not much of a bosom? I can't tell: Did they give her brown eyes? Grey? Green?

It's the lack of basic competence that hurts.

  25. Michael K at Dlisted said the girls at Drag U need to get in there to fix that mess. Agreed. This looks like the Liz Taylor Halloween costume from Halloween Express.
